Sadly, it has been reported Ian Lavender has died. A great actor and the last of the main cast of Dad's Army.

I will watch a few episodes tonight in tribute, especially my favourite "The Deadly Attachment."

Oh dear, he was the youngest by far.

Sad to see.

Sad to see “you stupid boy” has died. I’ve got the Dad’s Army box set, I’ll watch a few of my favourite episodes later.

The last of a talented troupe of actors. He was brilliant as mummy's boy Pike.

Nannan2 Mon 05-Feb-24 14:43:53

Yes so sad, end of an era.and he still had quite a youngish face. RIP Pike🫡

I’m the same age as Ian Lavender, that’s scary!

He did make me laugh.

My late mum used to say “you stupid boy Pike” to my stepfather. Made them both chuckle. She bought him some socks too with it on & he had fun wearing them occasionally!

Condolences to his family and friends.
Thanks for the laughs Sir.
RIP.

‘Don’t tell him Pike’….!

Do you remember, when he was on Celebrity Mastermind, John Humphreys asked his name and someone called out "Don't tell him Pike!"

Sad news
The last of the wonderful Dad's Army cast.

I saw him in Ghost Train at The Lowry theatre in Salford. I think his father wrote the play.

It was Arnold Ridley who wrote the play.
