Another new Corrie thread

Kit must be a baddie surely (or as my youngest grandson would say, a stinker). After all, we saw him framing Nathan with the hair that dippy Sarah gave him. We did see that, didn’t we (I’m getting very confused now )?

So my money’s on Kit as Lauren’s attacker, maybe he was one of her website subscribers? I think Joel might just be Lauren’s mystery boyfriend but nothing to do with the attack - he’s definitely been a bit shady right from the start, and he’s looking like a worried man now. Poor Dee Dee if so.

I wonder if all will be revealed tonight? I certainly hope it is, then we can get back to whatever passes for normal on the Street!

It was announced by gormless Ed some weeks ago that because of his gambling habit, Aggie was not returning to the family.

Whether she is still nursing the ailing Auntie, or has started working at another hospital there, flitting between all the departments, turning her hand to A&E, maternity, cancer wards, heart and transplant units….as she seemed to dabble in all of them at Weathy General.

The lighting on Corrie seems dark to me this week.

It's felt like they've had a bunch of media students in on a placement all week. The sooner they get back to normal the better.

I shall henceforth think of Kit as Kit The Stinker . Poor Bernie - she doesn't have much luck with her children, does she?

Yes, I wondered that. Carla never has much luck with the men in her life, and we are probably due a new lesbian relationship storyline….

My theory is that Lauren is staying with her mother, abroad somewhere and will return when Joel has been caught.

Would a solicitor really misplace a vital piece of evidence, the necklace, and not even look in his car for it knowing that previously Dee Dee thought it was important.

Corrie does not do these under storylines well.

Even I am starting to get impatient with this long long storyline.
And I am happy to whizz through any programme.

It does look like Joel is the murderer but I am not yet convinced. DS Swain made a comment in a scene with Kit relating to her dead wife's comment that all angles should be considered and she emphasised that she was not discarding anything when reminding Kit to review the case so far. It will be interesting to see what falls out now.

Maybe Hope and Ruby will be overheard talking about the necklace and it will all come out. Lots of overheard conversations on the Street!

I expect Hope will get wind of the Lauren necklace business, and end up blackmailing Joel to keep quiet about it.

She has probably got photos of it on her phone, as evidence.

I would put my money on Hope against any detective, lawyer, judge…

Being realistic Lauren was too badly injured to get up and stay with her mother. She vanished in February so she cannot be kept against her will for so long so she has to be dead. I do realise it is Corrie and the writers do not have the practical head I possess.

I will be pleased when we return to the hour-long episodes next week.

Yes, I agree. Hope has been involved by the writers for a reason. Sam also knows about the necklace but does he know it was Joel's car? Is Joel the killer or just happened to call on Lauren and found her on the floor and grabbed the necklace on way out so as not be implicated. It's a widening circle of people with some knowledge at the moment.
Hope and Sam, Joel and the necklace. And yes, Hope will attempt blackmail.
Sarah, Bethany, Daniel and Nathan all of whom know Nathan has framed by Kit. Will Daniel keep his mouth shut?
Dee Dee and potentially Sarah as love interests of Joel and Kit with Sarah having a deep interest in finding the perpetrator of the abuse and Dee Dee the 'killer' of Lauren.
Then there is Max on the fringe, acting strange, and Bobby.
And Griff in prison.
And Roy.
And the 'missing' Lauren.
Will there be another victim?

We are meant to assume Lauren was so badly hurt. We didn't get a close up. It's a 'wait and see' scenario.

Lauren could be held somewhere. Didn’t Pat Phelan have someone in a cellar for ages?

Don’t forget Joel is also involved with the young sex worker who Bethany visited last night.

Paying her to lie about Nathan.

Joel will probably turn out to be Pat Phelan’s long lost son, sonehow avenging his dead dad!

The trio of Sarah, Daniel and Bethany drive me demented. I hope Joel trips himself up somehow and quickly!

Very far fetched. Lauren's boyfriend's behaviour was threatening on the phone. I can't see Joel being like that or commiting murder.

I was thinking Lauren might be hiding out with Max's girlfriend and her brother. We have not seen them for weeks but not sure now after seeing her being attacked if she is still alive.

My personal feeling is that the sex worker whose name I have forgotten knows too much. I would be looking for another flat and not telling anybody.

I agree, this will be dragged on until we are sick of hearing any of their names. I would like it done and dusted by Friday if not sooner. Chance would be a fine thing.
