What’s to stop Lauren dropping him in it anytime in the future?

And assuming baby Frankie pulls through, where is she going to live? Ireland is never going to happen. Does he plan on doing away with her still? Will he and Dee Dee somehow end up as guardians of the baby?
Will Max and Bobby end up as ‘the two dads’, a bit like Billy, Paul and Todd?

Does it all matter? Should I be bothered?

I just wish that the Joel storyline would come to its conclusion. How long are they going to drag this story on for? I’ve had enough of it.

Are we now supposed to think that Joel is a reluctant villain? Maybe controlled by even more villainous types pulling his strings? I really don't like these conversions from baddies to goodies. Sadly, life is not like that very often.

There are only five houses in Coronation Street, plus the ‘new’ ones (are there two or three of those?). It’s not many compared to the number of characters so now there are the Victoria flats, the precinct ones, and premises above assorted businesses. It must be limiting for the scriptwriters - particularly as they now have to keep the storylines self-contained to limit the number of actors on set at a given time.

Corrie needs more financial support if it is going to survive. The new regime is killing it, IMO. It worked far better when the cast were salaried and everyone was in most episodes.

I used to get a bit concerned that my kids would not have decent soaps to watch, as the soaps went downhill.
A lot of criminals now, instead of character actors and their storylines.

But younger people[if mine are anything to go by, and others I know] seem to watch a lot less TV in general, than my generation used to.
And can find other programmes they prefer[dont blame them] if they do watch.

Back in the day a friend of mine took work as an extra. The daily fee at the time was the same amount as the weekly dole payment. I don't know about now. The work was advertised at the Job Centre.

They could use mannequins in the beds pretending to be sleeping or sitting up with their heads bandaged up hands under the covers.

I thought non-speaking extras got a very low payment? Even another two people in a 4 bed ward would be more realistic, and inexpensive if they were asleep or wearing headphones watching TV. To be fair though, so little is realistic in Soapland that it's all water off a duck's back. My disbelief is well and truly suspended .

Yes, "extras" are paid, so a four bed ward might be too expensive!
( Inside knowledge, as I have a friend who does this as a hobby😉)

My husband was in hospital recently. Our ancient NHS one. He had a single room with it's own shower room. It was old and dated but we were surprised to see it.

When is the wedding (Dee Dee and Joel)?

Will there be a dramatic entrance by Lauren, denouncing him as the father of her baby?

As realistic as their single room in a hospital. A single room costs money and that is something few there have. I suppose it cuts down the number of "extras" in a ward, even a 4 bedder.

Please can we see the end of Joel sooner rather than later.

I m another fed up with the dim Jack storyline andi don’t understand how everyone in Corrie an Emmerdale end up inside They throw a pebble at the window and get carted off to prison for 6 months it’s about as realistic as a cow jumping over the moon

I wonder if Lauren may be the one to expose Joel? She is desperate for her son to survive but will Joel try to do anything to the baby to cover his tracks. Thoroughly fed up with the Abi, Kevin, Jack storyline.

There are three ‘new’ houses Doodledog. Many years ago, when we were visiting family in the north west, we went to visit the Corrie studios, which meant we were able to walk up and down the street and see the external view of all the properties. Only the The Rovers was open and we could actually go inside and buy drinks. The indoor studios were elsewhere. Anyway I understand that all the studios were moved to a different location a few years ago, but you can still visit them.
