The old one is getting full, so here’s a nice shiny new one.

Where is Lauren? What is Dee Dee’s chap up to? Is Kit a villainous baddie or a force for good? Do we care?

Post your predictions and observations here (no spoilers please).

And Max, who was in Young Offenders’ not so long ago, is now the Vidal Sassoon of Corrie!

The way he was wielding his scissors around Shona!

BlueBelle Thu 05-Sept-24 07:04:05

I m afraid I have NO belief in David or Max as hairdressers it’s hilarious Max hasn’t been to college or anything and there he. is at the chair working way and David needs to sort his own hair first it has a life if it’s own
Against the trend I think Betsy is playing a great part and showing how easily it is for a hard working mum to miss out on the needs of a young teenager She is left to her own devices and has grown up way too fast and you can’t put the genie back in the bottle

Calendargirl Thu 05-Sept-24 07:46:32

I agree about Betsy BlueBelle, we saw a softer, more vulnerable side to her last night.

Her other mum, the one who died, was obviously the more ‘hands on’ mum, and Betsy must miss her very much.

I assume DS Swain is her birth mum, not the one who died?

Beechnut Thu 05-Sept-24 07:59:00

Leanne had her stomping shoes on again last night 😂

I liked the cushion Max got for his 18th birthday!

Pity he didn’t!

Could at least have pretended to his GG Audrey that he did.

In fact, very ungrateful for all the effort the rest of the family had gone to on his behalf.

Mind you, personally I would not be a fan of ‘surprise’ gatherings. Can see how he would rather just hang out with his mates.

I know that nobody would agree to have hair actually cut by an actor, but a lot of the hairdressing scenes are hilarious, particularly when they last more than a few minutes. Someone is in the chair while an argument is going on or personal details of their lives are discussed in public, and the hairdresser is absently combing or titivating their tresses. They never seem to pick up scissors.

I feel last night's episode is preparing us for Paul's demise. Can someone please give Swain some hard evidence about Joel and what will be the outcome of the love triangle between Leanne, Toyah & Nick?

Doodledog Sat 07-Sept-24 11:05:16

I thought that about Paul, too. I wonder if Kit will see him off? The story has been so sensitively handled I hope they don’t sensationalise the ending.

Charleygirl5 Sat 07-Sept-24 12:10:58

I have a feeling he may not wake up and Billy is slumbering on the sofa so he is unlikely to hear him. I have forgotten where Summer is. This may be an exit for Billy also because he will be a spare part once Paul dies.

Calendargirl Sat 07-Sept-24 12:51:35

Kit is not a nice character, but no, I don’t think he will be finishing Paul off.

I felt it was quite touching to see him dealing with Paul’s breathing difficulties last night, and thought his concern and affection were very real.

nanaK54 Sat 07-Sept-24 13:17:35

Yes, I had the same thoughts about Paul, I don't think I can bear seeing Billy's anguished face for weeks on end, he will blame himself for not being next to him.

Charleygirl5 Sat 07-Sept-24 19:10:30

I would like to know what Kit's motives are. I do not like him and would be pleased if he joined the ever-growing list of permanent leavers.

Doodledog Sat 07-Sept-24 22:44:07

I wondered whether he would help Paul to end his life, as opposed to murdering him.

Paul didn’t want Billy to know how bad he’s got, and he knows Billy’s feelings about euthanasia, so Kit could step in and get Billy off the hook.

Possible a sad episode tonight.

I missed Friday's episode due to no signal. No catch up here so can anyone tell me briefly what happened.

BlueBelle Mon 09-Sept-24 12:12:51

I think it’ll be natural causes
I think Kits rather nice with Paul and he s certainly easier on the eye than our Craigy as policemen go

I too think it will be natural causes. Kit does have his faults, but I think he loves his new family, although it may take longer in his mothers case.
When he planted the evidence, involving Nathan, it was because he thought he was definitely guilty and was going to get away with it.

Crikey - it was a few days ago but I will try!
Billy was persuaded to go out on a 'boys night' with Todd and David.

Kit was looking after Paul. Paul choked and kit remembered how to help him so all good, Paul asked that Kit didn't tell Billy or Bernie about this.

By the time Billy came home, plastered, Bernie had put Paul to bed and had made up a bed for Billy on the sofa. Billy persuaded not to go in to see Paul and to just settle down to sleep.

Meanwhile Toyah finished with Nick, Leanne persuaded her to stay on living in the flat with her.

Hmmm - can't remember what else grin

Beechnut Mon 09-Sept-24 13:14:02

Cassie and Tracy had a bit of a ding dong over Steve.

Calendargirl Mon 09-Sept-24 13:19:45

Nick and Leanne also told Sam (jointly) about the affair, and Toyah was cross about that.

Cassie informed Tracey that Ken has asked her to stay on as a sort of companion to him, doing all the things that she, Tracey, could be doing if she so chose. That shut Tracey up! Tracey is also worried that Cassie and Steve fancy each other, and Cassie doesn’t disillusion her.

Hope I’m not recalling Wednesday’s episode!

Yes, tonight’s episode will be grim.

😥

X posts Beechnut!

lemsip Mon 09-Sept-24 13:29:06

it has been in the news that 'steve' actor Simon Gregson has suffered with anxiety since after he first came into corrie...

sodapop Mon 09-Sept-24 17:26:32

Thanks everyone, I'm caught up now. Poor Sam being caught up in all the adult shenanigans.
