Bernie was so dislikeable in that episode. And Todd was so nice! He's a good actor.

I thought it was a ridiculous episode . I’d rather have watched more of Carla and Lisa in their bunker than Bernie being obnoxious and Billy being drunk.

I think Kit has a plan for Bernie and she will not like it. I do not find him to be a likeable character, I do not know what he is up to there.

I think we should offer our services to the scriptwriters- we would do a better job of it. I enjoy black humour, not the doom and gloom.

I thought Kit looked a bit shifty when Billy mentioned him in church.

Are any of you watching The Long Shadow? It’s a series about the hunt for the Yorkshire Ripper. Last night I was watching it and noticed that one of the police women manning the phones on the hunt for the Ripper was none other than DS Swain.I am just waiting for her to crack the case🤣

Perhaps she’ll bring her expertise from that programme over to catch Joel.

So many/too many unresolved storylines...
Off the top of my head, we have:
Joel - where is he?
Mason - is he a reformed character?
Bethany - will she get home soon?
Bethany's go fund me - will refunds have to be made?
Cassie - is she after Ken's windfall?
Cassie - is she after Steve?
Is Adam going to collect Damon's money and claim that as his own to help Bethany?
Will Fiz have the baby?
Can Hope be helped to kick her vape habit?

What have I forgotten?

What will happen to Lauren and baby Frankie?
Will Carla and Lisa get together?
Will Daniel and Daisy become an item again or will Daniel stand by Bethany.
Will David sell his house to pay for the medical bills and make the Platts homeless?
What’s happened to Nick and Leanne?
Did Rowan ever get his come uppance?
There’s just a few more loose ends to add to the list.

Well, Paul's rave/wake ended up quite well with Bernie and Billy making up.

So unlike real life . Funerals are the death knell for many, many family relationships in reality.

I thought it was boring and unrealistic last night I thought the church service was dire and the rave pretty ukk

I agree abd putting Paul's ashes in a balloon is sick to me. I saw nothing funny about last night's episode.

They did the Paul story really well until the end. The funeral and rave story ridiculous.

That 'rave' story was truly stupid and unrealistic. Bernie comes over a totally selfish and just not very bright.
That being said, current storylines are much better than usual. The surgery in Turkey story is convincing and where is Joel is enough to keep me watching. Also the impending departure of Gail should be good.

It was the only programme I wanted to watch last night and I fell asleep in the chair. I woke up much later in the early hours and watched a programme on Hornby model railways.

Kit is making sure everything is going his way as far as Joel's case is concerned. Swain's boss has taken her off the case because her daughter, Betsy, is involved and handed it all over to Kit. Joel is alive and Kit knows exactly where he is. I think Kit's downfall and Joel's capture will be the big Christmas storyline.

In other news, it looks as though Carla and Lisa are moving closer. I hope so - it’s about time we had a happy story going on.

Kit is Bernie's son who was given up for adoption as a baby.

Damon is Sarah's boyfriend, currently languishing in jail, He is back in the picture because Sarah's daughter, Bethany, went out to Turkey on a journalism assignment about a cosmetic procedure clinic. Unbeknown to her family and friends she underwent a liposuction procedure as she had been the butt (no pun intended!) of remarks about her weight. It all went horribly wrong and she is in hospital having been fitted with a stoma bag which will be life long. As she didn't disclose her operation on her holiday insurance they won't pay any hospital bills which have now reached the tens of thousands. David set up a Just Giving page but let people think that Bethany had met with an accident. When Audrey accidently spills the beans all over social media people are demanding refunds. Damon had some dodgy money squirreled away and has offered to pay for Bethany's bill.

Carla & Lisa do look to be getting close. As for a happy ending I'm not so sure. This is Corrie after all.

Agree with storylines dragging out for ages. But court cases and any medical procedures? Practically done and dusted in the same week!

I meant where does Kit fit into the criminal underworld that has pervaded the cobbles lately. Is he a friend of Damon, or is he colluding with the awful Nathan in a grooming ring? I don't think he's a straightforward rozzer, is he?
