Anyone wanting something to binge watch to get away from footie, might enjoy this 4 part series on ITVx with Hugh Bonneville. Funny in parts and a bit of uneasy watch in other parts I enjoyed it.

I've only seen the first episode, but what struck me most was the way social media spread it all so quickly, althoughDouglas doesn't know what he said and nor does anybody else. If I was Douglas I would want to know what he said and see proof of it.

Douglas knows very well what he said.
I agree, the first episode is not compelling. But it’s worth sticking with. Maybe should have been a one-hour play rather than episodes.

Not sure why but I was comparing it with TWA and it lacked the quirkiness and wit which I liked so much. Might try again but it does seem a bit cliched.

Maybe he does but all the social media spread does not say anywhere what he said, yet everyone condemns him. Even if he does know, like I said I've only seen one episode so I don't know how this pans out, surely someone would want to know exactly what he said before condemning him. BTW please don't tell me how this pans out as I would rather watch it when I have time. grin

I really enjoyed the first episode - in spite of every character having varying degrees of cringe making attitudes and opinions!- but very distracted by the number of advert breaks - 4 or 5 in 40 minutes is ridiculous

I enjoyed it, apart from all the expletives from Douglas’s wife! Especially in front of their daughter. Wouldn’t like her as a boss, what a hard-boiled so and so. I also thought the script seemed like a stage play. I loved the end of the bathroom scene. 😎👍 Can’t understand how the boss didn’t receive any of the blame.
