Strictly restarts this Saturday when it will be the pairing up of celebs and pros..... which may even be less cringe-making than usual. grin

I don't know many of this year's celebs, but nothing new to that, and no doubt I shall get hooked in as usual.

Sparklefizz, DH had an adventure of a journey home today, trains cancelled in Sussex, train driver taken ill in Surrey, across London to Paddington, finally back to Devon. I was tracking him and didn't have the heart to leave him to fo the last 40 minutes by bus, so picked him up.

Back to the dances!

I really want him to go further, but this was tired and a bit flat footed.
Maybe he has reached his limit - but I suspect the popular vote may carry him through.

It’s hard not to feel so much admiration for Chris that you want him to win regardless.

Sounds dreadful escaped. So sorry to read this and glad you're both safe at home now.

I would like to see Chris go through to the final, but JB to win.

I agree with Craig that Chris lacked energy.

Sarah and Vito - fantastic!!

Millie22 Sat 07-Dec-24 19:11:08

Love Vito in his glasses 😊

Love Vito in his glasses 😊

Me too !!!!!

Calendargirl Sat 07-Dec-24 19:13:46

I can’t take to Sarah, although she dances well.

She has a trim, youthful body, but an older looking face.

Having said that, Shirley often comments on her being in her 50’s and a mother, making her sound a bit frumpy and ‘mumsy’.

Why? Doesn’t say that about anyone else.

I love Sarah! I also love Vito - with ot without glasses. blush

Sarah's dance had attitude. Loved the dress.

Sparklefizz Sat 07-Dec-24 19:22:44

Aaaw Pete was fighting back tears.

escaped Sat 07-Dec-24 19:34:36

Why did Shirley say she doesn't judge Pete against the others? Isn't it a competition?
Surely in her head at least, she should. And more importantly when scoring.

Sweetpeasue Sat 07-Dec-24 19:47:50

Chris was incredible in that waltz. He's never stood on his partners toes throughout- don't know how he does it but quite emotional after that.

Sara1954 Sat 07-Dec-24 19:48:55

JB to win for sure

Sparklefizz Sat 07-Dec-24 19:50:37

I'm crying here along with Chris!

Sar53 Sat 07-Dec-24 19:54:52

So am I, what an inspiration he is.

Calendargirl Sat 07-Dec-24 19:58:20

Didn’t like Sarah’s frilly white trousers.

She has great legs, and you couldn’t see the movements so well in what she was wearing.

Calendargirl Sat 07-Dec-24 19:59:39

And Shirley has just mentioned ‘being in her 50’s’ again!

Why, why why?

Sparklefizz Sat 07-Dec-24 19:59:57

And it's so true what Dianne was saying about Chris's training - he has not even been able to see himself in the mirror to perfect his techniques, posture etc.

I was thinking exactly the same!

Millie22 Sat 07-Dec-24 20:04:45

Just shut up Shirley about the age thing. It's getting irritating.

Sweetpeasue Sat 07-Dec-24 20:10:40

Surely Pete over marked there?

Sparklefizz Sat 07-Dec-24 20:11:52

It's been an emotional evening with some terrific dancing.
