Two tv adverts I can do without

Allira I would love to pay the TV license and have all those opportunities of recording extra but I am in the EU so can’t record UK programs,
That being said those 2 adverts/programs give me the creeps.

We literally never watch any program live (apart from news), always record and fast-forward ads or repetitive bits.
Depending how long the show is will depend how long we wait to start watching it, generally 20 minutes or so.

Adverts drive me nuts!

I don’t like most of them, but pee-pants, pure cremation and all cleaning ads are my least favourite!

When there is a program you don’t like, you can switch it off
However, with adverts which pop up every so often for a few seconds without any warning I cannot grab the remote control before it finishes.
I’ve been cast away …
She has divided …
So I turn down all adverts, at the moment, it is not possible to cut them out.
I certainly will not be watching either program and you?

I can’t bear the ad where a woman moves a bedside lam so that half the bed tips and her partner falls down into the room below- just so she can enjoy a bowl of cereal?
Mostly I just ignore ads or go and make a drink.

I hate the gambling ones and think they should all be banned. All made worse by DH vociferously moaning about them every time they come on!

Mostly, I just ignore adverts and use the time to pop to the loo or get a drink.

I can't stand the one with the unshaven man holding a soft toy in a back garden and looking at the back of the house which has the garden.
It's an advert for Resi extensions I think ,but the man is very weird - dressed in shorts and wellies and clutching his soft toy throughout like a 6-year old.
The accompanying song is also very irritating. It may not be on anymore as I see it whenever I watch programmes I recorded from August.

I saw that one last night for the first time.
I thought it was a normal size man, but in a very small bath!
He looked very odd...

When his wife picked the phone up to arrange their funeral plans, I half expected her to say creepily, "No, just the one..." 🫣

Ditto to all the funeral/cremation ones.

The current crop of Fresh!!! OMG so FRESH!! for smelly laundry additives are my pet loathing at the moment.

And that annoying electric-toothbrush one, she who feels super-confident because he mouth feels so super-clean. Not to mention all the toothpaste ones, where people are apparently brushing their teeth with no toothpaste….

I don’t take a scrap of notice of them I just completely blank out when anything's on that doesn’t interest me

The sanitary, menstrual products; especially around tea time. I’m no prude but YUK!!!

Even when I was 6 (not that we had a TV then) I think I’d have thought that girl was not quite right in the head, to think she could pay with toys. And I was all too conscious at a very early age of money being very tight.

Good idea Cabbie21, I look for crisps or if it's a really annoying advert I have been known to have a mad rant! 🙊
