Two tv adverts I can do without

We’re living in our kitchen at the moment while we have work done in the front room. Our “TV” is my laptop and every time we watch something on ITVx we’re treated to the Domino ad, Tesco I’ve got the power and the same two perfume ads, Daisy and Dior. I think I’m going mad….

What about the one where the father of the bride starts whistling instead of giving his speech. Not only does whistling set my teeth on edge, but I'd never have forgiven my Dad if he'd done that on my wedding day.

The Miss Dior perfume advert with Natalie Portman screeching…… drives me mad!!!

This triggered my dislike of stupid lines in ads. when it came on in an ad break whilst watching "Until I Kill You" yesterday.

When Natalie Portman turns to the camera after screeching and driving, admittedly looking lovely and wearing some nice dresses, and says this "and you....what would you do for love?" I mean what the heck, just inane!

My favourite one is the kitten taken from cat rescue and my worst one is the children in Africa with a cleft palate. It’s too difficult to watch, so reducing their chances of getting help as I always change the channel as too difficult to watch.

I see that ad a lot on FB, which TBH I only really use for my knitting group, but it makes me want to donate rather than putting me off, and I have.

The period adverts are becoming too much and are embarassing in mixed company. I hate the one where the woman goes on about her period gush, it's not something I want to see before the watershed.

I can't stand the ones with "cutesy" characters: the Vaillant Hare and Bruce the Butterfly (Scottish Power) are two that spring to mind, and that hideous one with Angela Rippon and "Albert Einstein" that's supposed to make us rush to get a smart meter ... so childish and patronising.

Whitzend the Cleft palate ad and the one with the children with poorly eyes have both made me donate
So those ones do work

I've just joined NOW to watch series 4 of "My Brilliant Friend" and paid extra to exclude adverts; well worth it imo.

Least Favourite is the one for the Post Code Lottery. because the doorbell ring is identical to mine and has sent me multiple times to check the front door .
Only ones I am enjoying ATM are the Specsavers ads, which are clever and make me laugh

At one time, the adverts used to be as good as the programmes and a lot of effort went into making them.

Just heard again the one I had forgotten which is for hotels in Pitlochry. Why Oh why does the women doing the voice over invite us to Pitlockry which is, according to her "deep in the heart of Skatland

At least the Daisy sent has been changed 🤣
Don’t like the new Jaguar one though but then it isn’t British any more (new owner) is it?

I can’t stand the Domino advert. But maybe it’s because I have never had ready meals delivered.

Neither have I mokryna they’re ridiculously expensive.

The ads for cruise holidays that give the impression that you have the whole ship to youself and you can indulge youself with elegant flutes of champagne as you watch the sun setting slowly.

I've just heard an advert for PlayStation. Very unusual song. I think he's saying just like a child, but to me it sounds like just like a chav.
