Viewed this but turned off … he’s so self indulgent..says it was an unwise decision but IMO it was an inappropriate decision and really feel for his wife and girls.. what do others think?

Galaxy

I wouldnt have any time for a 60 year old man who had a relationship with a girl who he had first met at 15, then had a relationship with at 18, whilst in a position of power over her either. I dislike him even more for using the accusation of homophobia in this way, it's really offensive towards the majority of gay men who dont do this.

I agree, Galaxy, and I can't help thinking that after the situation has been explained over and over, those who persist in saying it is homophobia that is behind this are being disingenuous.

No surprise that I agree with Galaxy and a Doodledog.

I disagree with the view that the criticism of PS is down to homophobia, if he’d met my 15 year old daughter via her love and skills in drama, maintained contact and offered to support a tv career then begun a sexual relationship with her ‘when it became legal’ - I’d have been furious. As was the young man’s mother in the PS case

By the way, there’s been reference here to age 18. The legal age for consent in gay relationships has been since 08.01.2001. PS says inappropriate but not illegal

I think you forgot to put the '16' in Iam64. Many will assume PS started the sexual relationship with the runner once he had his 16th birthday, since he says inappropriate but not illegal.

Thanks Rosie - I should have said the legal age of consent is 16 and has been since 2001.
The general view when considering exploitation was a max 7 year age gap between youngest and older people involved

I am pleased his family are with him, I don’t want to think of
anyone being cut off from such a large of their lives
