I heard a mention of a smoking area, but have never actually seen anyone smoking. As I’ve seen warnings on some programmes that they contain smoking, I’m wondering if they are deliberately nor showing smoking.
If so, then presumably the housemates don’t know that, as a safe place could be very handy!

I did see that, Martha wasn’t it? But I have never seen footage of a group of smokers in the area.

I loved BB when it first started, then after a few years said I would not watch it any more as it was too contrived. However, every year I say that and then end up hooked again.It is like a guilty pleasure. Even though Lily is so annoying she is fascinating too, I think she is far more clever than she appears to be.

Yep. What's the name for the 'crowd' who, by their own admission, comment on things they know absolutely nothing about? We are all part of 'the social media crowd' by dint of the fact that we post on here though, so shouldn't it be 'fodder' for all Gransnetters?

Isn't 'fodder' animal feed? How has that become the metaphor of choice for those who look down on the TV entertainment enjoyed by others? I'm guessing it's been plagiarised from somewhere. More questions than answers

The only place that isn't filmed is the loo, I think. There is probably a camera in there though that can be used optionally by BB, or housemates would sneak in for private discussions, or other private activities. The smoking area will be the same - they will film and record what happens there, but won't show footage of actual smoking.

I saw last night that the bed for the Head of the House looked freshly made up, and wondered who did that, and also how do they set up tasks without anyone seeing. Last night’s set in the garden was particularly elaborate.
And has anyone ever seen a proper dinner being cooked?

The housemates are locked in the bedroom for long periods of time while the sets are sorted. They comment on this occasionally. I suppose they can hear it being done too. - but they expect it. You often see various people cooking - particularly Emma and Marcello - but don’t see them sit down to eat. I have seen this in other series, but maybe it’s edited or they just eat on the sofa. They get fresh bedding and batteries for their mikes once a week I think, but have to make up their own beds. (I do have a life - promise 🤣 )
