Just got to have yet another thread for us to grumble about our favourite soap, warts and all.

Yes, Daniel seems to work very few hours at the YOI, even if he does seem to be the only teacher there. Either he’s negotiated an unfeasibly good hourly rate, or he must be skint after paying for Bertie’s childcare.

BlueBelle Thu 13-Mar-25 07:07:44

I like Daisy she was so full of life and love but so vulnerable at the same time I m sorry she’s leaving her and Daniel should be together they fit much better than silly Bethany
That new family are very unlikeable
David and the storyline is ridiculous and how did Leanne even hear about a managers job let alone apply have interviews along with all the others queuing up for the job!!!
Thankful Yazmin has gone she was as wooden as a clothes prop bless her

Doodledog Thu 13-Mar-25 07:17:14

I didn’t know Daisy was leaving, so there’s another surprise gone.

I don’t think Leanne applied for the job. She bought Yasmin’s shares, although the conversation where she found out they were for sale happened off screen (or I wasn’t paying attention). Is buying shares as simple as buying a bar of chocolate? I’ve never bought shares in a company, but I’d have thought there would be legalities to sort out.

I won’t miss Yasmin either. She was a dreadful actor, and the character was going nowhere. I’d like to see Stu come back now she’s gone.

Yes, can't believe Daisy would have looked twice at the sleazy neighbour! And she would still be in pain and discomfort from the miscarriage.
Surely life in Southampton with Tommy O would have been rather appealing to Tracy!

Calendargirl Thu 13-Mar-25 12:18:46

I shall be glad when Daisy departs.

She hasn’t been very nice in the past.

Soon after arriving, she tried to get Jenny to leave her husband Johnny. She was involved in some pyramid selling scam which caused Sean to lose all his money and ended up homeless for a while. She has been in numerous relationships, not caring if she hurt others or broke up their relationships.

How soon we forget!

She deserves her comeuppance.

(Yes, I know it’s not real !)

vegansrock Thu 13-Mar-25 13:06:47

Surely they don’t ask someone to identify a body unlikes they are pretty sure of the identity beforehand.

Happygirl79 Thu 13-Mar-25 14:01:48

Absolutely. The script writers should be fired for a start!

Exactly. No excuse for that glaring error because the pathologist would have given the corpse's DNA profile to the police who would have matched it on the National Database and very soon realised it was not Rob Donovan.

Calendargirl Thu 13-Mar-25 15:46:25

I wonder who the body is?

Not that it matters.

Was there anyone else missing after Pat Phelan’s and Stephen’s murderous rampages?

confused

(Joking of course!)

jobieP Thu 13-Mar-25 15:47:34

I thought Tracy and Leanne were leaving?

I never miss anyone when they have left.

Doodledog Thu 13-Mar-25 15:52:22

Please, please will people not tell us who is leaving? It ruins both the thread and the programme for this of us who like to find out spoilers as they happen.

BlueBelle Thu 13-Mar-25 15:56:16

Doodledog it’s been all over every where for weeks that Daisys leaving I really didn’t think for a moment I was giving anything away

Nano14 Thu 13-Mar-25 15:58:49

I predict that Ken will re-employ Cassie, and that Steve and Cassie will get back together.

Doodledog Thu 13-Mar-25 16:05:36

I genuinely didn't know. I don't see newspapers these days, and never click on spoilers online.

Strong agree.
I actively avoid any sources of possible spoilers too.
I suppose that I need to avoid this thread really, but that seems a shame...

....and unless this particular corpse was showing evidence of very recent major surgery, how could this mistake have happened?

vegansrock Thu 13-Mar-25 18:26:03

Yes it’s a “formal” identification- they’d have Rob’s fingerprints etc on police files. They wouldn’t ask someone’s relative just on the off chance.

Grannynannywanny Thu 13-Mar-25 18:50:40

Sometimes I wonder if they share scriptwriters with Emmerdale. They had a similar scenario recently when someone was called to the police morgue to identify a body believed to be their missing daughter. It wasn’t .

I don't join in the thread as often as I used to. I started a few iterations of the thread and put 'No spoilers, please' in the title. I enjoy chatting about what's happened, but really don't see the point in knowing what's going to happen before it goes out. There's no point in watching when you know how it's going to go.

I realise that some papers and magazines discuss spoilers, but I don't read them, and these days don't even go into newsagents on the way to work, so don't catch headlines without meaning to. I know people don't believe me, but I genuinely don't read about soaps or find out what's going to happen unless I am told on here, and it does spoil it.

Charleygirl5 Thu 13-Mar-25 19:17:18

Leanne knows as much about the type of food to be cooked at Speed Dahl as I do. Was it Indian or Turkish?

Daisy is her own worst enemy with her bed-hopping antics.

Carla has recovered so well from her transplant, in and out in no time and appears to be fine. Not complaining about the side effects from the anti-rejection drugs.

Doodledog Thu 13-Mar-25 19:48:34

Did we ever work out who owns the rest of the shares in Speed Dahl? Is it Alia? Does Leanne have a controlling share, or is it 50/50?

No! Please don’t bring Stu back! He was awful and a dreadful actor!

I think he could have been so much better if he hadn’t had to do most scenes with Yasmeen and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

BlueBelle Fri 14-Mar-25 05:53:58

Loved Stu Crosstitchfan he was as good an actor as anyone else in Corre and payed a nice part
Not bad looking for an older guy easy on the eye I miss him
