Just got to have yet another thread for us to grumble about our favourite soap, warts and all.

grin

Clawdy

As if Tracy would get involved in a drugs deal just to get revenge on Cassie. And as if Ken would boot his daughter out of the house, however angry he was.

How did Tracy know who to contact for drugs?🤷‍♀️

TBH, I think Evelyn has a cheek expecting Ty and Fiz to have the dreadful Cassie back living with them.

Stealing, doing drugs, doctoring gullible Ken’s drinks,…..

Hope is a nightmare child already, can well do without Cassie’s toxic influence.

Does Evelyn expect to swan back to her uni life, leaving everyone else to deal with the fallout?

Yes, thought so.

Instead of moping about the flat being ‘scared’, why doesn’t Betsy go in to the factory with Carla and do a bit of sewing?

Keep busy.

Calendargirl Tue 18-Mar-25 21:47:10

I can’t even remember Tracy and Rob being an item.

It may be an unpopular comment on here, but I have never warmed to Evelyn. She suddenly descended on the street as Tyrone's long lost never knew existed grandmother, and took over the whole house and family.Where did she live previously?

She was asked to go there but the lazy c*w refused! As you can probably tell, I loathe this character, not just who she is meant to be but the dreadful drawling voice the actress who plays her puts on.

My sentiments exactly!

I think Evelyn lived in one of the flats with Cassie didn’t she pinkprincess
I like little Betsy I think she plays a troubled teenager who lost her mum and found her other mum in a new relationship, moved home, saw a best friend die from murder, and got followed by a different murderer all in a few weeks and you wonder why she’s stroppy 🤣

Calendargirl Wed 19-Mar-25 06:53:08

Oh BlueBelle, I know you’re ’Team Betsy’, but I can’t agree,

She is a right little madam. I bet in the next few days she’ll be throwing her mum’s and Carla’s concerns in their face, and dashing off to the precinct or somewhere when she’s bored of being in the flat.

She needs to get back to college, heaven knows what course she is wasting time on, or get the wheels of her sewing machine whirring round in the factory. Has that ‘job’ been given up permanently?

TBH, I’m fed up with Betsy, Dylan and now the awful Brody (stupid name) the latter who has superseded Mason as current young villain of the soap.

The young ones used to be Amy, Asha, Aadi, Nina, Summer (what is she doing nowadays, never see her?).

They seem like old hands now.

Calendargirl Wed 19-Mar-25 06:54:08

Did Tracy let Rob have a shower?

I kept thinking how smelly he must be after his time on the run.

Doodledog Wed 19-Mar-25 06:56:18

Yes, I quite like Betsy too. It would be daft if every character worked in the factory, the pub or Roy’s Rolls. Enough of them do already, when they’re not in jail or hospital, that is grin.

Ilovecheese Wed 19-Mar-25 10:19:32

I am with you pinkprincess I have never liked Evelyn either. Tight fisted and unpleasant, and now foisting Cassie on poor Tyrone, who they both abandoned when it suited them

Another one here, not in Evelyn's fan club.
Maureen Lipman plays her very well but the character is mean spirited and selfish. She is downright rude to pretty much everyone, including Roy. For goodness sake, how can anyone be rude to Roy?

I also can’t remember Tracey and Rob being an item. Still does it matter in Corrie fantasy land? If that new couple become a continual item I think I will have to puke! So far have tolerated all characters with a grumble here and there but they are beyond belief and make my flesh crawl. Of course we might be treated to a complete make over and in true Corrie fashion see them emerge as completely different and likeable.

Calendargirl Thu 20-Mar-25 06:50:31

Do any of us think that Rob will shoot Tracy?

No, thought not. 🥱

Does horrible Mick, the electrician, work for a company or for himself?

Already so fed up with the Dylan/Brody storyline. It’s just like Mason’s bullying all over again. And Sean of course bobbing about not knowing what to do.

Another 🥱

BlueBelle Thu 20-Mar-25 07:07:34

I don’t remember Tracy and Rob being together but then I forget a lot
I think I like Betsy as I can see her belligerence and petulant behaviourist come from her inner fear after losing one Mum and the other mum in a dangerous ( if it was real life) job She’s a bit lost just seen a close (first childhood love) friend die in horrible conditions and really had a lot happen in her little life I see the vulnerable side to her character and her misplaced fighting spirit
She must be a good little actor if no one likes her, as that’s the part she is having to play I think she is a lot better than mopey Lauren or dopey Dylan

So agree. Hope it isn’t how she speaks in real life!

The character of Craig is being written out.

Calendargirl Thu 20-Mar-25 10:47:56

Whose new hairstyle?

Devorgilla Sat 22-Mar-25 20:02:50

Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday this week, Corrie watchers. Grrrrr!

Charleygirl5 Sat 22-Mar-25 21:44:14

I do not understand why we are permanently second fiddle to football. Thanks for the reminder.

BlueBelle Mon 24-Mar-25 20:03:50

Blxxdy football no Emmerdale no Corrie nothing at all interesting to watch oh well back to my jigsaw

Doodledog Mon 24-Mar-25 20:32:07

It's really annoying, isn't it? The least thy could do is put them all on ITVX at the beginning of the week so we can watch when we like.

I thought the football finished last Sunday as there was the Big Final.

Charleygirl5 Mon 24-Mar-25 23:14:31

I have decided to hire a minibus for Cassie, Bobby, Betsy, Lauren, and all the boys in prison. I have now added Lou and her frightful husband Mick. He is a nasty piece of work. I am not fussed about where their one-way tickets will take them.

Pleased to see Cassie’s nails are still immaculate, despite being on the streets.

I noticed that! Big scriptwriter error. I think since they cut the staff and money down, Corrie has suffered from a lot of errors that just wouldn’t have happened in the ‘old days’!
