Yes, Corrie Again!

That was a dreadful episode. They’re in dire need of some new scriptwriters. As soon as David volunteered to go to collect the rings it was so obvious his next move would be to meet with Dumb and Dumber and hand them over.

The nonsense with the street’s resident cops just goes from bad to worse. Lisa hanging around the bistro eavesdropping on a conversation like a jealous 14 year old. Then Kit’s vicious assault on wannabe gangster to warn him off. Kit is up to his neck in trouble in every episode. We need our Craigey to sort him out.

Lauren doesn’t come across as the sharpest tool in the box. Yet within a second of hearing Dee Dee is pregnant she instantly worked out the unborn baby could be a donor match.

I forgot Corrie was on early last night.

I tuned in at 8, and wondered what was going on, all this about Lisa’s dressing gown and David and Jesse having a heart to heart.

I then twigged, and watched the first half hour on ITV+1.

Another daft episode though. Honestly think we have had enough of babies and abortions, (why did Fiz have an unwanted pregnancy in the script?)

We never hear any more about Ty’s ex GF and baby back in Poland, do we?

The factory staff in the Rovers was ridiculous, and Carla and Lisa plus drunk Betsy were just awful.

As for the wedding preparation and the saga of the rings…..

Is it only ne who thinks the Carla and Lisa is silly? Carla likes men. always has. Got a very daft writer at the moment.

No, it's not only you, love0c. I think the Carla and Lisa relationship is so sickly sweet and a bit cringey. Carla was a man-eater, for goodness sake - bring the old Carla back!

I'm looking forward to Gail's wedding but wonder what could possibly go wrong on her big day. I'm sure something will.

I don't think I will ever stop watching Corrie but oh boy it certainly is completely far fetched at the moment.

Coronation street is getting beyond boring. In my opinion the programme is well overdue a decent script writer. We have police and hospital stories at every turn. Everyone seems to be a company owner or solicitor.
It's really gone off the boil. I often switch it off mid programme these days out of frustration yet in the past I always enjoyed every episode. Let's hope 2025 brings an improvement or I will be tuning out completely.

Too much emphasis on the younger characters.

Max and Lauren (really boring), plus the awful Betsy, Mason, who I quite like now, and snatches of Hope, Sam, Ruby, Lily, ….

Don’t see much of Jack thankfully, or Dylan, even more thankful.

Dee Dee was planning an abortion so clearly doesn't want Joel's baby. She is only hanging on in case she can help Frankie.

We will have to wait and see ha ha. it is keeping us all entertained even though/if we complain about it! {grin}

Betsy is a right little madam. I hope Carla’s influence sorts her out a bit. Her miserable mother seems clueless about how to deal with her.

Mason as a boyfriend is the least of her worries, I would think. He seems quite decent now.

As for Daniel and Daisy….

I find Kit very attractive, pity he’s always up to no good.

How is Jesse going to sort a trip to the Maldives in a day or so?

I’m finding the interactions between Daisy and Daniel rather boring. I wish they’d either get together or stop playing silly games.

I’m at the stage now that I want to fast forward any scene with Betsy. Could she be anymore annoying?

It looks like Leanne’s conniving behaviour is going to backfire in spectacular fashion. I think it’s the only current storyline which is holding my attention.

I do hope it does and soon. We do not want this trailing on until after Easter.

Betsy is a little brat and gets away with anything. Maybe Carla will sort her out.

Mason becoming a nice boy is like the Jacob storyline, but I like the change, less depressing than the other stories at the moment.

I loved the surprise about Nick and Toyah being on to Leanne's nasty plan. I didn't see it coming. It's ages since I had a surprise at a Corrie episode

How is this all going o end? Surely if it comes out Leanne could be charged with fraud? Prison? I can't see them getting rid of her character.

I have a feeling Nick and Toyah will be overcome with guilt and decide their affair has driven Leanne to commit the fraud. I think they’ll forgive her and they’ll all live in harmony once again. They’ll just need to decide who’s going to have Nick. It might take a few words of wisdom from Sam to sort it all out.

That’s my prediction for 2025 😆

Gail leaving - I think the storyline will build around Audrey somehow. At least that's the way it seems to be going, or is it just a red herring?
