BBC pulls Masterchef Christmas Specials

That I think is the right decision.

I think it was the right decision by the BBC, and I think retaining the current Masterchef Professional series, which is so close to the finale was the right decision too. Pulling the current series would jeopardise the career chances of the chefs who had worked so hard to get to that stage - but a celebrity special really doesn’t matter to anybody if it’s pulled. I would have been watching, but I’m not devastated in the circumstances.

I don't think the BBC had much choice but it's a shame that his behaviour has impacted on all those others taking part in the Christmas programme.

I noticed it was on yesterday evening; a difficult decision as there will be much disappointment for contestants, and those looking forward to seeing the final, but with such a situation brewing they had little choice.

Agree but both ITV (Philip Schofield mess) and the BBC need to have a good look at themselves.

It's right that they are pulling the two Celebrity Masterchef episodes at Xmas. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't; the BBC need to really look at themselves and ask why the various sexual scandals are happening under their watch. Personally I am sick to the back teeth of "celebrity" anything; I don't need some faded nonentity to show me where to go on holiday, how to dance or how to cook.

I have no knowledge of tv production, but to edit out a person who features heavily in a show might be quite complicated without messing with the smooth running of the production - I might be wrong?

Under normal circumstances it takes several weeks after filming to edit for a programme. There's not really enough time left now.

Quite right too. The man is a dinosaur and should mend his ways in '24. Men behaved like that when I worked for the Beeb in 1960. Surely we have moved on?

Wrong decision. I was looking forward to the Christmas special. Can I have a refund on my TV licence BBC?
