It didn’t get a good review on BBC’s Must Watch and I always follow their recommendations.

I was looking forward to this but find it slow, boring, with some dire dialogue. Have given up as, at my age, I can't afford to waste time.

I gave up early on. It’s dire.

Oh, this makes me feel better about not having Netflix.

I'm also on Episode 3 and I've just stopped to have a cuppa and a bit of a break - which I probably wouldn't do if I were gripped by it.

I'd be useless as a spy - I'm finding it quite confusing.

I also keep thinking that bringing children into the world in her position is so risky, I'd be constantly worrying. And surely once a spy, you can't just hand your notice in and declare you don't want to do it any more - there must always be someone looking for you.

Watched half of the first episode, yeah dire is the word.Good cast but all so unlikely we couldn’t watch anymore.
The scene where she goes to her dead lover’s flat is a case in point.The landlady allowing her into the flat, when she could have been a journalist or anyone, then the two oh so obvs fake female police then her hiding from them yet not turning off her phone and having a conversation with her little girl quite loudly.A waste of good acting talent let down by plot and dialogue.

I was dissapointed too as I was looking forward to the series as I really like Sarah Lancashire. I gave up half way through episode 2

Just finished last episode. There are some surprising twists at the end. Really enjoyed it,especially filmed in Christmas time London. Nothing like seeing spies up Oxford street !

Have watched the first episode, I think it will grow on me.

It is watchable, mainly with London as a character.

As for the gay sex scene and the casual drug references - totally superfluous to the story...

I'm enjoying it.
It's not supposed to be realistic - it's like James Bond films, or like the series called Spooks that was on years ago.

... and it's good to see a mature woman in charge (Mrs Reed) instead of a man running the operation.

I enjoyed it as a piece of Christmas/ spy/ gangster/domestic hokum, entertaining if I don't take it too seriously. Enjoyed the Christmas soundtrack. 🎶🎵🎄
It reminded me a bit of Diehard ( original), opening / closing with a popular Christmas hit.
Good cast.

Stopped watching after the totally unnecessary perverted sex scene. I thought having Sarah L in the cast meant it would be good. Awful.

Awful, no light and shade. Only shade. Beautifully filmed but too bleak for me.

I enjoyed it more as it went along. Totally unbelievable rubbish but enjoyed the London scenes.

Yes unbelievable rubbish, London looked wonderful though, they must have filmed it last year. I like some of the Christmas scenes with the children "stirring the Christmas pudding" interspersed with the violence. Good cast, really like Ben Whishaw, Sarah Lancashire and Keira went to my kids school so that's a good enough reason for us to watch it.

Yes meant to add, inspite of the implausibility enjoyed it. OH ,is hoping for a follow up. Not as good as Slow Horses he tells me but nearly.
