I really enjoyed it. I loved Motherland. Poor Amanda is so cringeworthy she tugs at my heart strings.

I wasn’t expecting to see Siobhan McSweeney as Dell. She was hilarious as Sister Michael in Derry Girls.

Well I didn’t dislike it, but I much preferred Motherland. I’ll give it a fair chance though.

Actually I decided to watch it. Not ‘funny’ as such but definitely found myself rooting for A-manda! She’s cringe. But sweet. Well not sweet - she’s out for her main chance ‘finding her people’ in So-Ha! Such a social climber but her hearts in the right place isn’t it? I’ll give another episode a go. She’s going to end up with the hot neighbour above I think!

‘Derry Girls’- of course!

It lived up to my fairly low expectations I'm afraid.

But it passed away half an hour and I'll persevere. I think I'm too invested in Julia, Liz and Kevin.

I’m going to watch it later this afternoon. I loved Motherland so will give this a chance.

It is cringeworthy isn't it? Poor Amanda, she is a monster but you can't help feeling sorry for her.
The episode of Motherland that really tugged my heartstrings was the Mothers Day lunch when Joanna Lumley was SO cruel- Amanda never really stood a chance with her as a mum did she?

I was very disappointed in it but will stay to see if it gets better

I’ve just watched the first episode and enjoyed it. Good to have a new comedy on TV. I do miss Julia Liz and Kevin but good Anne still around. I think we all know an Amanda 😂

As an aside I also watched The Cockfields, very amusing with a few cringes too

We loved The Cockfields but only watched the second series. Is the first series still available?

I’ve just watched it and thought it was funny. Joanna Lumley is always worth watching.

I might give it a try - reading a revue today, it got 5 stars.

Saving it for the weekend... It had 5* in The Times.
Loved Motherland also liked The Cockfields, so both on the list for the weekend.

Had a good review on Must Watch. However they did say it suffers from comparison with Motherland as it’s difficult to not keep remembering how brilliant that was.

I watched episode 2 this afternoon - I think it probably gets better. I started to understand the new characters a bit more and enjoyed it a lot more than the 1st one.

Joanna Lumley has a much bigger role and she's playing a blinder.

I enjoyed it --it's certainly better now that the insufferable Julia is no longer in it.
Sadly, neither is Liz.

I didn't find it very funny, mainly because the main characters seemed to gabble and I think I missed some of the dialogue (subtitles couldn't keep up); at a slower pace I think i would have enjoyed it. Will watch next episode.

Loved motherland so will stick with it for now.
