Has anyone watched The Good Wife? It's an American drama in 7 series and I am totally addicted.

It's set in a high powered Chicago lawyers' practice, and each episode covers one of their cases but there are also good backstories for each of the main lawyers - affairs, marital problems, family relationships.

It's well scripted and acted and knocks spots off the usual Channel 5 dramas eg. The Feud.

It's great to think every day that I've got a good drama to watch and I'm keen to know how the complicated relationships and affairs pan out.

I absolutely love The Good Wife. It is such an intelligent series - lots of background re US political shenanigans (which are pretty awful) and information about their legal system. Plus the characters are really believable.

I actually saw some of it when it was first shown - about 8 years ago I think. It's interesting that the two investigative women are both English actors - Archie Panchabi (I remember her from East is East) and, in later series, Cush Jumbo (who I remember from, I think, Vera).

In the Good Fight they have a lot of British actors in lead roles

Cush Jumbo - who plays Lucca - was detective Bethany who got shot dead in Vera

Rose Leslie - who plays Maia Rindell - has been in a lot of things including Vigil where she played one of the detective leads

Michael Sheen the Welsh actor also appears in a number of episodes
