Maremia I too worry about Ellie in a dance off and how she will cope. I still feel upset thinking about the paraolympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds when she got voted off. It had never entered her head she wouldn't win the whole competition because so much praise had been placed on her for weeks. It was actually sad to see and she is a sensible, mature lady who is a great commentator.

Claudia and Tess are leaving!!!!!

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are set to leave Strictly Come Dancing at the end of this series.
A statement read: “We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream.
“We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.
“We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show. They’re the most brilliant team and we’ll miss them every day.
“We will cry when we say the last ‘keep dancing’ but we will continue to say it to each other. Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza.

I wonder if this will be the end of Strictly?

I hope it isn’t, any new presenters will have a mountain to climb.

Oh boy, almost a year of speculation as to who will replace them.

So, who do we think should take it on?

Tess 56 and Claudia 53. The latter has plenty of 'strings to her bow', including her role in Celebrity Traitors. I don't think she will be out of work for some time to come. I don't think Tess is so multi-faceted. Does she appear in other TV shows?

I hope it's not rats and sinking ship.

Depite all the recent problems and the fact that it isn't really attracting the greatest of "celebrities" these days, it's still a couple of hours or so of easy, glitzy viewing on a Saturday to pass by the darkening autumn evenings.

Zoe Ball used to present It Takes Two on BBC2 (Strictly’s Mon-Fri chat show). I really liked her on that, definitely a good shout 👍🏻

That’s my fear.

Zoe Ball was the best presenter of It Takes Two as she had a lovely natural style.

As for Tess and Claudia. Isn't this a strange time to announce that they are leaving just a few weeks into the new series. I'm sure Claudia will do more especially with The Traitors stuff.

I can understand Claudia going with doing The Traitors and apparently her and Tess made a pact if ever they left they would go together.

Yes it is a strange time to announce it though.

Probably it's been leaked to the press so they jumped in before it was reported. Particularly as their statement said something like 'we wanted you to hear it from us'

I’ve googled Fleur East but I’m still none the wiser.

I'm sorry to see them go as I like them both and they work well together. I hope we can have a man and a woman next time.
And no one contentious, just pleasant people who know what they are doing. And no one whose laugh overwhelms everything.. not mentioning any names here.....just saying.
