So, I've heard of 8 of the celebrities but some of those I've literally just heard the names - don't know what they actually do.

Given my interests though, it's unlikely I would be able to identify a reality "celebrity" (I mean the Love Island type shows) a blogger/vlogger/influencer or most sports people.

Anyone know all of them?

Allira Thu 23-Oct-25 11:22:30

Rylan -will he bring his Mum along? 😁

PaynesGrey Thu 23-Oct-25 11:35:36

If they want a look-a-like clothes horse then, Abbey Clancy (who won series 11) in for Tess Daly? Probaby too similar. She's married to former footballer and broadcaster Peter Crouch so may be seen a presenter couple for the show?

It would be a change to have a man in the Claudia role. I’ve taken to this-year contestant George Clarke. He’s handsome, has a nice voice and is a natural broadcaster with a quirky sense of humour.

Oh boy, almost a year of speculation as to who will replace them.
OK - I'll be the first to call it (probably completely wrong)

Alison Hammond
Claire Balding
Paddy McGuiness
Holly Willoughby
Alesha Dixon
Fleur East
Janette Manrara
AJ Odudu

Oh no!!!! Not a single one of those. That would be the end of it for me.

Kate1949 Thu 23-Oct-25 11:48:11

ferry. I just said to DH 'Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton' before your post came up. He said 'Who?'. He takes no interest in celebrities.
I like Rylan. Rylan and Rob Rinder maybe? grin

Charleygirl5 Thu 23-Oct-25 12:04:34

I can't stand the sight or sound of Alesha Dixon or Alison Hammond.

I like Stephen Mulhern, but he is everywhere at present. Maybe Stacey Dooley or Zoe Ball.

I also have no idea who Fleur East is?

Millie22 Thu 23-Oct-25 12:13:34

Fleur East does the It Takes Two midweek programme and isn't very good at reading the autocue.

Allira Thu 23-Oct-25 12:16:50

I like Stephen Mulhern
He's ok in small doses, but not for Strictly.

Allira Thu 23-Oct-25 12:20:17

What about the couple who present a music quiz on BBC?

Marvin and Rochelle Humes?

Grannynannywanny Thu 23-Oct-25 12:20:44

I wonder what’s going on behind the scenes that makes them want to surrender a high profile, well paid job.

From all the names suggested so far on this thread I’d only like to see Zoe Ball. The likes of Stacey Dooley or Paddy McGuinness have me reaching for the remote when they appear on any programme.

How about Oti Mabuse? That would be my choice…Oti with Zoe Ball.

Another one I’ve had to Google.

At least Ant and Dec will be busy in the jungle, thank goodness.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 23-Oct-25 12:24:10

Fleur East is also a previous contestant on the show. She danced with Vito on I think his first series,
Kevin yes
Stacey no
Gethin Jones yes

Rylan no
Steven Mulhearn no
Rib Rinder maybe

Grandmadinosaur Thu 23-Oct-25 12:25:04

Rochelle and Marvin no

Kate1949 Thu 23-Oct-25 12:25:15

I don't think it will be Stephen Mulhern or Holly Willoughby. They do Dancing on Ice on the other side.

merlotgran Thu 23-Oct-25 12:32:56

Grandmadinosaur

Rochelle and Marvin no

Definitely No!
Rochelle just wants to hog the limelight.

Kate1949 Thu 23-Oct-25 12:37:16

As I said, I only watch occasionally. If Davina McCall gets the gig, I'm out.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 23-Oct-25 12:41:16

Dancing on Ice has been axed though Kate1949
They may be looking for new gigs but not Strictly I hope.

Grandmadinosaur Thu 23-Oct-25 12:41:46

Oh not Davina either.

Kate1949 Thu 23-Oct-25 12:55:25

Oh I didn't know that Grandmadinosaur

Calendargirl Thu 23-Oct-25 13:01:13

Angela Rippon? smile

Plenty of past experience of hosting a dance show, plus a past contestant herself.

Grannynannywanny Thu 23-Oct-25 13:01:33

I really hope it’s not Rylan. He and Alison Hammond already have more than enough tv exposure. That would he the last straw if they take over Strictly.

VANECAM Thu 23-Oct-25 13:11:29

Please let it be Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan

Charleygirl5 Thu 23-Oct-25 13:35:43

I would be happy to give it a rest for a year and let all of the alleged scandals die down.

ferry23 Thu 23-Oct-25 14:14:44

VANECAM

Please let it be Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan

Some of their Rob & Romesh vs programmes were good but they presented an awards ceremony (BAFTAS possibly?) and they were absolutely dreadful. Got awful reviews and not invited back so they would be a no from me

Tom Allen cropping up as possible, but he's a bit marmite

Grandmadinosaur Thu 23-Oct-25 14:56:49

Rob or Romesh,Tom Allen no

Angela Rippon yes. A proper presenter.

Millie22 Thu 23-Oct-25 15:11:22

Please not Angela Rippon. She is ancient and would spend all her time with her leg up in the air.
