Well that was one of the weirdest episodes yet - a bit like a fever dream.
I’m guessing it’s some sort of reset, what with the flood of new family members, most of whom seem remarkably over-excited to see one another, considering they haven’t been in touch or even mentioned for years. The sooner precocious Susie goes up to her bedroom like the rest of the Corrie offspring, never to be seen again, the better, imho. And yes, the lock-in was absurd - the new owners obviously haven’t a penny to bless themselves with, but can splash the cash around like drunken sailors, instead of just getting their cases unpacked like normal folk.
But oh, Mrs Doyle! I’ll happily overlook all the above for the joy of seeing her on the cobbles!
