I would like to know who has spooked out Lisa. I was busy with a crossword whilst Corrie was on so only half concentrating on it. I wondered if this was her late wife but that would be stretching credibility a bit far but this is Corrie.................

The appearance of the dead wife/mother, at least we assume that’s who she is, is obviously designed to put a spoke in the wheel of the Carla/Lisa forthcoming nuptials.

Lisa will choose the Becky one, as to me Carla has always seemed second choice.

It will leave Carla free to jump on the first available male, as I’m sure she will swap allegiances if necessary.

Something else I’d forgotten about as there was so much else going on in that episode. When Betsy left the house after the cringey birthday session she appeared to hold her abdomen as if in pain.

Does she have a mystery illness brewing or did she just drink too many shots?

Often the soap storylines are boringly predictable. But not that episode with previously deceased Becky turning up.

I hadn’t seen any spoilers and it took me by surprise. Surprising/ludicrous but I’m looking forward to seeing what unfolds. If Roy hadn’t spotted Becky I’d have thought Lisa was hallucinating.

I thought they’d exhausted the undercover cop stuff with Spider. Corrie has so much police activity it’s becoming like The Bill.

It's thanks to Roy's new improved eyesight with glasses that he was instantly able to recognise Becky from a once glimpsed photo of her!

Apparently Becky has been away for 4 years-where on earth has she been?

I think Betsy has only recently slept with Dillon so it is too early. I did not hear she had hopped into anyone else's bed.

I did wonder if perhaps Peter Barlow would have turned up to throw a spanner in the works.

I was imagining the usual soap scenario whereby a car pulls up, and the camera focuses on the legs and feet of the occupant as he or she gets out.

I curse myself for still watching the show as the scriptwriting is really poor now. A continuous circle of police and hospital visits for one thing or another. It's becoming tedious. Or is it just me feeling grumpy ?

I thought the last episode was great!

Well it’s been a while since I was really looking forward to a Corrie episode, but I can’t wait till Friday (how annoying that we have to wait). There are a lot of questions to be answered!

Even though Becky turning up was stretching the limits of credibility, I did enjoy last night's episode.

For the first time ever I thought of Vicky Myers (Lisa) as a good actress. Her panic attack was much better than that of Asha's a few weeks ago (too overdone).

It wasn't just the panic attack, though, I thought she acted well for the entire episode. Funny to see Carla as an almost speechless bystander, too.

Whether Becky hangs around or disappears again surely they have to tell Betsy that her mother is alive. But I suspect Lisa will do her best to withhold it for now and in soap style fashion Betsy will spot her loitering in the distance.

David and Shona look very happy about the pregnancy. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have a normal pregnancy on a soap that doesn’t involve drama, emergency hospital visits and sadness.

I fear that the fact they are happy about the pregnancy means that something will inevitably go wrong.

Last night’s episode was bonkers.

That Becky turning up in that daft hoodie was ridiculous.

I remember that happening before to Steve's mum. Turned out it was menopause. Another rich seam for the writers to mine.

I have to disagree Cabowich I was so disinterested in the very daft Becky appearance that I was doing a jigsaw with one eye on the silly storyline So she’s been hiding up for 4 years what was she doing at the hospital when Roy saw her

Do Shona and David have children then Primrose I thought they were David’s kids ( Max and Lily) not Shonas and one s out of the picture in prison so only Lily to worry about who knows it might be a storyline without a twist but then again pigs might fly

I can't even imagine how it would feel for a much mourned loved one to just turn up like that. I think Lisa did a good job of acting there. I quite liked how it exactly happened came out in parts. Explains a lot but there could be more to it.
