A wonderful get away from it all wildlife programme. Hamza has such an obvious passion for the natural world around him. He is a joy to watch.

Thanks. So many good programmes to watch these days that I’d miss some of them if they weren’t mentioned on here. And the whole series is on iplayer.

I loved it especially the nightingale at the end.

So much better than the nonsense that is on Countryfile just lately.

My granddaughter is researching Hamza for Black History month at school.
Her favourite broadcaster 😊

What is he going to do when his hair reaches the ground😊 it is nearly there. Must take for ever to dry!!

I love Hamza and love his programmes. He seems such a calm gentle person, with the patience of a saint!

Hamza's a sweetie isn't he? And the Bitterns and Great Crested Grebes were particularly good.

Hamza washes his hair twice a week and it takes 5 hours to dry according to his interview with the Radio Times. I wondered if his long hair had some religious belief behind it but he refuses to cut it as an act of rebellion. His Mum made him have his hair cut very short which he always hated. Once he was 17 and at college he made the decision to let it grow.

How does he swim underwater with it? Doesn’t it weigh him down? I can only watch it on my iPad because, for some reason on the tv the picture went very weird and only showed a small but blown up section of what he was filming. I’m going to put it on again to see if it works.

He's 35!

Not a rebellious teenager any more. 😁

Another fabulous programme last night focusing on Autumn.

I loved it especially the kingfisher section and the foxes. Hamza is so enthusiastic and clearly enjoys wildlife so much.

J52 Mon 27-Oct-25 08:43:28

Fabulous programme. His joy at seeing wildlife is infectious

I foresee Hamza as a future David Attenborough, unfortunately I’m unlikely to see if it happens.

henetha Mon 27-Oct-25 09:52:35

Hamza is lovely. And he has the knack of conveying his love of nature to us and make it beautiful and fascinating.
A worthy successor to the marvellous David Attenborough, but with his own style.

We watched the last episode of Scotland from the Sky ,it was lovely so we’ve downloaded all the other episodes to watch .
It’s worth seeing and he does land on water and ground to investigate the history .

travelsafar Mon 27-Oct-25 12:52:39

Oh yes I loved this last night.
He showed real joy at seeing the kingfisher and the bearded title.
One to defo watch.😊🫠
