just shown a photo of the late Queen in bed when she had given birth to Prince Edward and Charles Anne and Andrew are round the bed! A lovely natural photo!

Calendargirl Sat 22-Nov-25 20:35:52

Yes, I’m watching this.

No one, even the modern royals, have released photos of themselves in bed with new baby.

Probably because they are soon on their way home from hospital.

Might watch this later.

Was The Queen a client of Epstein? Just saw it on a news outlet (how trustworthy I am not sure.)

Which Queen?

The late Queen, or Camilla?

Fake news, I think.

I don’t know what you mean by ‘a client of Epstein’. Many people were in his orbit, which doesn’t mean they were necessarily up to no good. I think it’s pretty certain that he didn’t pimp out the late Queen, and highly unlikely that she visited him for the same reasons as her errant son.

MandL Sun 23-Nov-25 10:26:21

Maybe the meaning is that the Queen might have used his financial services?

I very much doubt it!

Doodledog 😲 and 😁

Ps I'm sure I saw the photo of HM Queen Elizabeth with baby Edward years ago. It was a private photograph and in fact stolen by someone involved in the development and sold to the press.

Some of these programmes are full of rubbish. For some reason Channel 5 seems obsessed with the Royal Family.

Well, I for one am quite pleased with their obsession, as after Strictly there never seems much I want to watch on a Saturday night.

Agreed, some of the Royal stories are shameless re-churning of past events, but I find them reasonably entertaining.

The late Queen didn’t go to hospital for the births of her 4 children

The late Queen didn’t go to hospital for the births of her 4 children

No, so she was able to be photographed sitting up in her bed at the Palace, wearing a pretty bed jacket and pearls.

Subsequently, Anne, Diana, Sarah, Catherine all had their babies in hospital and the first public pictures were of them leaving hospital.

You mean you didn't? 😲
What did you clutch at vital moments?

BlueBelle Mon 24-Nov-25 23:14:31

😂😂
With Middle child I got smacked across the face for making too much noise forgot I should have cutch my pearls and kept quiet

keepingquiet Mon 24-Nov-25 23:23:34

Going back to the ward after giving birth with no pain relief I was asked what I would like for breakfast.
I just yelled, 'some bloody pain killers!!!'

Who did that? 😲

With last child I got left on my own because the young girl in the next room was making so much hullabaloo no-one could heard me shouting for help.
I'd left my pearls at home too.

Well, at least they asked!
I begged for a cup of tea and was told, very brusquely "No, not allowed in case you're sick!". So I lay there for the rest of the night, wide awake, wondering where the baby was and wanting tea.

Usedtobeblonde Tue 25-Nov-25 14:09:59

I was always told the cup of tea after giving birth was the best and most welcome you will ever have.
My D was born just before midnight and I think the tea had been made at teatime and was in the urn from then.
It was stewed, lukewarm and disgusting.
I was so disappointed.

I think that, after the clickbait headline, these articles will point out that it simply means a name was mentioned in any context in an email by Epstein, like saying Queen Elizabeth attended some function or other, or maybe saying what a great footballer David Beckham was ( he was apparently mentioned also).

At least you got one!
I suspect I wasn't allowed a cup of tea because it was 2 o'clock in the morning and no-one wanted to make one, nothing to do with the possibility of me being sick.

Oh that's cruel- what we put up with- the Queen had no idea!

It was not the best experience; I bet the Queen got a cup of tea on request!

I see the ‘Royal’ programme this weekend is all about how William will make changes when he is King.

I hope Charles isn’t watching. Talk about feeling you’re being written off before you’ve hardly got started!
