Anyone tuned in to this. I did last night. What a debacle. Is there nothing they won’t do for money?. Ruby Wax has had some sort of face lift, unbelievable.. Contestand just sticking their faces in mountains of animal entrails, blood and guts everywhere. I think they would eat dirt. .Jack Osbourne is the most grounded and likeable and also Lisa Riley, still they went in. The others not so. They are all wealthy people, they don't need the money, its not character building in anyway, I do not get it..Is it just any publicity is better than none. Cannot see how it will do Kelly any favours whatsoever.

There should be no argument, I am watching it now and enjoying it.
I used to do the big brother thread, I got sick of some posters coming on to thread namecalling, saying people who liked it probably read the daily star, so what if they do. This is a thread for people who enjoy the programme.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 27-Nov-25 21:12:24

Crossstitchfan 👍🏻

GrannyGravy13 Thu 27-Nov-25 21:11:22

I always think when you start throwing out insults you have lost the argument…

Crossstitchfan Thu 27-Nov-25 21:09:53

Cont’d
Have you never heard of people watching tv just to get a bit of light relief, to wind down after a stressful day?
Or are you one of those pretentious bores who tries to convince everyone else that they are superior in intelligence and wouldn’t dream of watching such drivel?
In any event, you are not important enough to tell the rest of us what we should and shouldn’t enjoy. So back off, and go and bother someone who gives a damn!
I am now going to watch tonight’s ’I’m a Celeb’ so put that in your pipe and smoke it!!

Grannynannywanny Thu 27-Nov-25 21:07:31

I do love a tv thread😆
Especially when posters like DrWatson know everything about the programme and can tell us how dreadful it is despite proclaiming never to watch it.

Crossstitchfan Thu 27-Nov-25 21:03:20

Also, ‘dr’ Watson, I forgot to say… what gives you the right to call us ‘airheads’? Ridiculous thing to say.
Have you ever heard of people watching

Oreo Thu 27-Nov-25 20:57:09

I’ll be honest, I’ve never watched it, but I like Race Around The World and Traitors.
Sometimes you just want something light and undemanding.

rafichagran Thu 27-Nov-25 20:52:56

DrWatson That is a patronising post, rude and disrespectful.
Peoples viewing does not give you the right to be insulting
It really says more about you.

cupcake1 Thu 27-Nov-25 20:47:20

Well said Crossstitchfan 👏👏 sanctimonious is dead right it’s laughable really !

Oreo Thu 27-Nov-25 20:44:39

DrWatson

Yes, it's a 'marmite' show, and yes, the people on it being called 'celebrity' is just silly, years ago that term meant something, but not for years now.

We occasionally see a few mins of it, when zapping through channels, and discovering that yet again the 10 OC News has been delayed so airheads can watch this undiluted tripe.

I see some comments saying "we love it" -- please DO say why? Every year has the same or very similar 'trials'. get bugs poured over you, eat a kangaroo or wombat's private parts, and watch Ant & Dec mustering yet more fake enthusiasm for whichever nonentity is doing this or that. Mmm, riveting.

As for the chitchat between contestants, Lord Help Us, why not buy a Tube ticket and take a tour of the Circle Line for several hours, listen to inane babbling on there?

The problem is not ITV putting it on, it's with YOU the audience. a sad judgement on the state of the country.

😂Why don’t you tell it like it is DrWatson ?

rafichagran Thu 27-Nov-25 20:42:02

Why is it whenever there is a thread like this, some posters come on the thread to tell us who watch it how dreadful the programne is, how mind numbingly boring, and that they don't watch it. Well why comment, it is tedious for us who want to discuss the programne, and the people in it.

If you do not want to watch it, fine, but I don't understand if you feel that way why you would bother commenting.

Crossstitchfan Thu 27-Nov-25 20:37:24

If you don’t like it, you are not forced to watch it. However, those who do watch, (and those who don’t) will all be thrilled yo know your thoughts on it. If you don’t like it, that’s your prerogative, but you don’t have to belittle those who do.
Do you think you’re superior ‘Dr’? I think you’re just opinionated and frankly, I don’t care what you think of us. Go and be sanctimonious somewhere else, and leave us ‘plebs’ to enjoy ourselves. I wasn’t amused by your final comment either! Are you SO much better than those of who do watch? I doubt it, you just think you are!

GrannyGravy13 - Exactly!
It’s the people watching. It doesn’t matter who they are. It’s how they interact with each other.

Deedaa Thu 27-Nov-25 20:04:50

My son does deliveries for Tesco. He said one of his customers asked what time he was finishing and said "Oh you'll be home in time for I'm A Celebrity" I think his answer was along the lines of "Hell will freeze over first"

GrannyGravy13 Thu 27-Nov-25 19:46:40

It’s a relief from the news.

I enjoy people watching the interactions round the campfire.

Mojack26 Thu 27-Nov-25 19:19:52

Never watched it, looks absolute drivel... not in least into so called 'celeb' culture. It's all that seems to be on tv! Celeb Masterchef,Celeb Race Across the World,Strictly,I'm a Celeb, debatable, etc etc.

Millie22 Thu 27-Nov-25 19:14:06

I think Jack Osborne is being paid the most at £200k but I might be wrong.

I watched the start of it but the trials are horrendous and there is no skill now like there used to be. They had climbing trials before and now it's all about eating.

georgiejg Thu 27-Nov-25 19:10:21

Like strictly, it has had its day.

Sadie5803 Thu 27-Nov-25 19:09:06

Its brain numbing rubbish.... life's too short to waste it on stuff like this

TiggyW Thu 27-Nov-25 18:57:16

I started to watch I’m a Celeb during the lockdowns when it was based in Grywch Castle. I’m not keen on the treatment of the creatures, but I like to see how everyone co-operates, or not! I don’t like Tom and Alex. Lisa and Shona seem genuine. Vogue seems rather affected. Martin and Eddie seem to be lovely men. Ruby should go first. I’d like Jack to win - he’s so sensible and down to earth, especially considering his upbringing!! 🤣

graciemabel Thu 27-Nov-25 18:38:20

They should absolutely be on here for a charity. They are all well off and don't need the dosh. Perhaps Ruby wax couldn't afford to put her face right! I quite like Aitch and Ginge but he annoyed me crying over not being able to text his mum, seriously it;s a couple of weeks and you're being paid loads of money - get over it. I also thought Ruby Wax was unkind taking the Allsorts away to eat on the sneak, how selfish!! why do I watch it, well like a lot of people I'm waiting for one of them to cause a stir and make it more exciting!!!

grannysyb Thu 27-Nov-25 18:21:18

I remember the Clive Jane's show. I assume that some of the tasks contestants are given on IACGMOOH are also pretty vile, can't comment really as I tried to watch it once, it was like watching paint dry! Obviously lots of people love it, not for me

sparkynan Thu 27-Nov-25 18:18:22

I’m a fan! I like to watch how the younger people interact with the older people. I’m guessing people like Ruby Wax is doing this for a pay day as she’s not as rich as people think. Costs money for plastic surgery grin

Crossstitchfan Thu 27-Nov-25 18:00:19

Jockytaff

During the 80's, Clive James had a TV show that looked at TV from around the world. The Japanese had a show called Endurance that featured regularly. Clive's studio audience used to be appalled at the feats the contestants had to endure and yet some 40 odd years on, here we are.

I can vaguely remember that programme. If I recall, the things the contestants had to do were brutal. Far worse than ‘I’m a Celeb’ now.
