For Rod Stewart Fans

He still has a superb voice and when some disgusting young thugs smashed up a model railway exhibition, Rod Stewart coughed up the money to re-organising the trains and all the lovely scenery, for the men and presumably women who had originally put on the exhibition. Think it was somewhere in the region of £20,000, so public got they had wanted to see.
Doesn’t deter from his voice does it, and he is entitled to his
politics, however awful we may think they may be

Sorry to disagree with all you fans of Mr Stewart.
I have always classed him as a sex/drugs and rock and roll type of person, moving from one woman to another seemingly oblivious to the emotional damage this does to his children from different relationships. I am referring to his earlier life, not his present marriage which we know is stable.
A bit like his friend Mick Jagger.

All his many children get on very well and they have huge get togethers with all the Mothers who also all get on well. Even though Penny is much younger than Rod his kids all like her very much and go to her for advice.

I read his autobiography a few months ago and he fully admits he went from one woman to another when he was young but he has now been settled with Penny for 20+ years and says the kids are all happy and healthy and they are just one huge family and that’s all he can ask for.

He has admitted to drug use, in particular cocaine suppositories. Penny May have brought his family together but in his earliest years his womanising and leaving wives and girlfriends with children must have caused a lot of unhappiness.

I happened upon it, and did enjoy even though not a fan. Credit to him quietly correctibg Penny when she said England and he slipped in Great Britain. I think referring to the places they had lived for many years.

Enoch Powell wasn't like Hitler - he wasn't like Farage - he was a typical intellectual politician of his era who really believed all the bad stuff.
Rod Stewart is celebrated in this documentary as a family man & he isn't a nasty piece of work.
He shouldn't give Farage any endorsement or support, of course he shouldn't, but he is a popstar - not his fault if his uninformed views on politics are taken up by the masses as if he is a political oracle, is it? He's not a nasty piece of work. Some of my friends like Farage - they're extremely wrong to do so, but they're still decent people.

I first saw Rod as backup singer at a dance hall around about 1970 a funny little guy with spiky hair. He became one of our favourites we went to a concert 5 yrs ago, he was pretty good

Rod came across as very loving, humble and grounded.

As we all know Penny Lancaster exudes kindness, happiness and calm.

His response - if you weren't a confirmed fan -- confirm that he IS guilty as charged . . .he first denied that he had committed the offences, THEN tried to play the "it was a long time ago" card.

We fought a war against that German with the funny moustache, YOU (& others) want to line up with Farage, THAT is the policy and person you're supporting.

Oh, and anyone thinking Reform might have a point, research closely the utter shambles they've made, in record time, of Kent County Council. [and I have a hearty cynicism re ALL parties, having seen ample incompetence and occasionally corruption from those in power, going back many decades].

I am not political or particularly like any of the politicians these days.
I am also not racist in any form religious or colour I went to a very small village church with no bullying but we did use words at school, I’m certainly not proud of the words we used but we didn’t have a clue then that there was anything wrong in using them at that point in time early 60’s
I’m not defending Farage as I don’t know enough about him to comment but do we really know the truth.
We don’t know him and so much is slanted these days by others just to score points.

I've been to see Rod a few times and he's always put on a good show. Definitely a talented entertainer. However, having seen him being interviewed in recent years, I wouldn't describe him as humble. He's a star and he behaves like one.

Also, I had to laugh when Penny appeared on Celebrity Masterchef and said she didn't do much cooking as they employ a private chef at home.

I don't begrudge Rod's success, he's worked hard for it but he now lives in a different world to the rest of us and it would be naive to pretend otherwise.
