Anyone up for a Traitors thread?

Stephen was on This Morning on TV yesterday morning, and was saying that he doesn't have the prize money yet. I hope this doesn't mean that Rachel was unable to make memories with her mother.

Looks like it. 🙁

I would have thought it would be in their bank accounts straight away!!

It must have been so hard because her mother became ill when she was just 40, Rachel would have been a teenager.
Very sad.

Similar happened to my family. I became severely ill with M.E. at 41, my children were 14 and 12.

Yes, it happens, I know.

I wonder if they withhold the money to stop any leaks. It must be difficult to keep something like that to yourself, and if someone starts splashing the cash uncharacteristically it might lead to speculation?

A thumbs up for the Irish version on the Must Watch podcast so I’m going to give it a go.

It's on BBC 3 and BBC iPlayer

We are finding the Irish version rather dull to be honest.

Not much gravitas and not very interesting characters. Sadly.

Yes, I did wonder if that might be the case.

I am enjoying the Irish version although their traitors seem to be less than united!

can't get into the Irish one. They need a Claudia!

I've just started watching the US version. One of the contestants was doing a little chat to the camera about herself and her background. She told us an interesting and true fact about her family - her great great great grandfather was Sherlock Holmes' cousin. Absolutely serious and clearly proud of this family distinction

I kid you not.

Agree sadly #Irish woman.

Agree. That makes sense.

I watched the most recent 2 episode of the Ireland Traitors last night and I’m really enjoying it. I think that was episodes 5 and 6. Interesting to see how the traitors are turning on each other this early on. Heated arguments last night. Siobhan McSweeney is growing me as the presenter.

Grannynannywanny Tue 03-Feb-26 17:09:47

She’s not growing me as the presenter but she is growing on me 😆

shysal Wed 04-Feb-26 09:08:39

I have watched the first 6 episodes of the Irish. The arguments are driving me mad, they are so unnecessary and spoken so fast that I can't keep up with them, nor can the subtitles!
I like Siobhan on the Pottery Throwdown, she has a cheeky sense of humour, I think she will settle into the Traitors role.

More Irish Traitors tonight. I'm beginning to get more into it, coming as I do from the Emerald Isle. Yes, they are a squabbling lot and inhabitants of the island do speak very fast. I love how territorial they are - 'another Cork man gone', ' and him a good Limerick man etc. Don't ever remember hearing comments like that on the other ones. I wonder who will be recruited.

Sparklefizz Wed 11-Feb-26 11:23:03

I am not getting on very well with the Irish Traitors, despite being a madly addicted Traitors fan. I can't stand all the shouting over each other added to the constant swearing. I'm not fussed by a bit of swearing in context but I have never heard so much from a group of people.

Devorgilla Wed 11-Feb-26 14:32:58

I find it a lot less 'contained' than the other ones in the sense that it seems to descend into chaos and squabbling pretty quickly. My husband, if he watched, would describe it as trying to marshall mice at a crossroads. They seem all over the place. Still, I am enjoying it and will stick with it.

Grannynannywanny Tue 17-Feb-26 09:51:52

How are you enjoying Traitors Ireland? Are any of you still watching it? I watched episodes 9 and 10 last night and I love it. I think the final 2 episodes are next week.

shysal Tue 17-Feb-26 14:46:53

I am still watching it, but it doesn't excite me. The last round table had so much 'I said, she said, you said' between the females that I lost interest.
