Anyone up for a Traitors thread?

Oh that Fiona I wouldn't like to be her enemy . Her and Rachel are a force to be reckoned with . Stephens eyes are like round saucers, he's running scared . Loving it

BlueBelle Wed 07-Jan-26 22:21:45

Don’t take to Rachel but Fiona’s clever and Stephen’s a gonna

Sparklefizz Thu 08-Jan-26 07:54:30

I don't like Fiona. I thought it was a giveaway when she said during a mission "I don't need a shield at the moment" and smirked to herself.

Why did she make no effort to collect skulls during that last mission?

TillyTrotter Thu 08-Jan-26 08:25:59

This series seems staged-managed and the contestants are being briefed on how to behave (to pile on confusion for the viewers).
Fiona’s lack of participation in yesterday’s task was ridiculous. She only had to pick up 10 skulls for goodness sake.

keepingquiet Thu 08-Jan-26 09:10:14

I have to admit I am not enjoying this series despite being a big Traitor's fan.

I am starting to lose interest since the Secret traitor was revealed to be Fiona, who I find very annoying and seems to be taking the p* out of the game. She clearly doesn't need the prize money or care about winning it.

Maybe it is because we are in the middle of it and I really hope Fiona will go soon and we start to learn more about the other competitors who may really need to win the prize-money.

I don't think the producers chose their participants that well. Reece didn't seem to realise how emotionally brutal the game could be...has he ever even watched it?

It isn't like any other reality show and I think some of the people maybe just wanted to get on any reality show regardless...

I'm ashamed to say I nodded off for five minutes and only woke to see a pile of skulls collapsing!

I know what you mean, but I actually found Fiona buggering about with the skull collecting quite funny grin and she does have to keep up the 'dithering woman of a certain age' persona to put the faithfuls off the scent.

Who do we think has been murdered?

Sparklefizz Thu 08-Jan-26 10:47:51

Re Fiona and the skulls, Reece didn't seem to mind that she was "buggering about" and not helping to release him.
Someone suggested he might be her son. She does have a son because she mentioned him earlier.

I find her very irritating with her nod nod wink wink, "Don't underestimate a woman of a certain age" to the camera in the interview room.

I don't think Rachel is keen. Stephen was like a rabbit in the headlights, all goggle-eyed and hammy overacting. I think Rachel will be trying to get rid of Fiona but of course can only do that by banishing her.

I have no idea who will be murdered. I've lost track of some of the young men.

Millie22 Thu 08-Jan-26 11:06:14

I also think Reece could be Fiona's son but then he did get very emotional after the round table.

Why isn't he mentioning the Rachel/Stephen incident at the family tree.

Devorgilla Thu 08-Jan-26 13:50:50

Millie22, Thank you for jogging my memory. I knew Stephen and Rachel had been at the Family Tree and she had asked someone to leave. I just couldn't remember if it was James or Reece. A deliberate not mentioning I feel, either because Fiona is his Mum or he doesn't want murdered yet. Fiona irritates me but I think she irritates Rachel even more and Rachel takes no prisoners.

Delila Thu 08-Jan-26 14:50:24

I think Fiona and Rachel are both shrewd and determined to win, and will happily betray each other. Fiona has already planted suspicions in people’s minds about Rachel. I think it’s a question of which of them will betray the other first.

Stephen doesn’t need much help from either of them in putting his foot in it.

Delila Thu 08-Jan-26 14:58:29

The introduction of a “secret traitor” seemed pointless to me. It inhibited the scheming between the three known traitors by influencing their decisions for no apparent reason.

I hope the idea is abandoned for future series.

TillyTrotter Thu 08-Jan-26 15:10:25

I intend to agree Delila , likewise contestants coming in in pairs - mother/daughter, girlfriend/boyfriend.
It’s diluting the essence of the game’s originality.

Fiona's son or Amanda's?
That would seem to be quite likely.

I don’t understand the point of a secret traitor who is revealed so quickly? Am I missing something 🤷🏻‍♀️?
I’m a huge fan of the show, having watched several overseas series too, but I’m not feeling it this time.
I’m more interested in researching Claudia’s outfits!

ferry23 Thu 08-Jan-26 17:05:24

I can't work out the point of the secret traitor either. And if you discount all those on their murder list each night, and those who have been banished, their identity would have been obvious quite soon anyway.
I also don't understand the significance of people being related or connected. I suppose they would try and protect each other which may make them look like traitor, but they may actually be traitor in the first place.

I did love Jade's Hope McCauley cardigan. At 450 pounds she's doing well for a student!

TillyTrotter Thu 08-Jan-26 17:36:03

Those H M cardigans are amazing ferry.
I think most of Claudia’s outfits are made in Scotland - there seems to be a lot of tweed coats and a kilt.
She has at least 2 different outfits a day.

Claudia was definitely rocking the Carrie Bradshaw look in the earlier series but there's a definite North of the Border about her this time.

I do think she sometimes looks a bit odd when it's clearly mid-summer and the contestants are leaving the castle in tee shirts but she has a cloak and gloves on!

I don't like it (awful, bulky) and am remembering the criticism Tom Daley got for some of his similar knits!

Pittcity Thu 08-Jan-26 18:02:30

I think the Secret Traitor would've been kept secret until a Traitor was banished. Hugo went quickly...

I agree with your analysis 🧐
Is Reece a Welsh name I wonder, but he doesn’t sound Welsh.
The plot thickens😁

I thought it was a home knit, possibly by Gran 😄

Nannyloves shopping. I've just watched it on iplayer, hope you've now found it.

Vonners Thu 08-Jan-26 20:37:02

When they were collecting coffins I heard a female shout 'mum'. I think that must've been Roxy and Judy.
Somehow I've missed Ross and Ellie being an item.
Fiona is 62, Reece 27 is that too big an age gap? There are a lot of first time mums in their mid/late 30's now but not sure about 27 years ago??
