I'm delighted,I love it! I'm not a Potter but love watching their skills.

Used to enjoy this programme but now feel it’s just gone on too long, a bit like Strictly Come Dancing.

So you won't be watching it then. That's fine but many people really enjoy it.

I love this show! I couldn't throw a pot to save myself but it's great watching people being so creative. Keith is a big softy but can be quite harsh at times, throwing work in the bucket!

LauraNorderr Fri 02-Jan-26 09:46:25

Great news. I love this programme and am in awe of the talent displayed in every series.

BlueBelle Fri 02-Jan-26 09:49:07

I loved the show, but I do think it’s very tired now, you really could write the script, you know exactly when he’s going to cry, you know when he’s going to throw cups or whatever in the bin. It’s just so predictive.
I will watch because at one time I loved it and let’s face it there’s definitely diddly squit else to watch but …..

OldFrill Fri 02-Jan-26 10:30:10

Is it usually on for an hour and a half?

DamaskRose Fri 02-Jan-26 11:05:55

I don’t find it predictable at all! Nor do I think it’s had its day like so much “reality tv”. We’ll definitely be watching!

I’ve never seen this programme May give it a go.

Great, I love this programme. All the contestants seem very genuine and usually display a friendly bond with each other.
Keith, Rich and Siobhan are a good mix and have a good rapport with each other.

damaskrise* I will be watching too of course I like the programme but unfortunately they pick on a few things to repeat over and over again The first time he cried I thought it was very moving but to do it in every series is just stupid and put on
Why can’t they be slightly innovative and just have little touches that are different It’s the same with all the series Sewing Bee s the same it wears it out and makes appear a lot less fresh than it could be
It’s worth watching NanKate
I ve done a bit of pottery in the past and it’s a very thrilling art form so yes of course I ll watch it but you can be a critic as well

I have only watched the last series, loved it, except for the crying 😢
I was blown away by their creativity and talent, knowing nothing about pottery myself.
Thanks for the heads up Sarnia.

I loved the first challenge of making a soup set with tureen, ladle and 2 bowls all depicting how the potter likes to spend a winter's evening. I think this will prove to be a great bunch of potters.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 05-Jan-26 14:08:29

I loved some of the results. Loved the colours and simplicity in the owl and fox tureen.

That was my favourite too. I can see why Keith and Rich chose the set they did and if Andrew hadn't broken his ladle then he may have been Potter of the Week. Some good potters which will make for a lovely series.

Visgir1 Mon 05-Jan-26 16:31:41

It's one of the delights on TV.
I do admire those Potters. I did Pottery at School many moons ago, but I was hopeless, and I was classed to be "Artistic" (I had a place at Art School years later) but I couldn't get the hang of throwing a Pot.

Every year the talent pool improves on this show, they are all so talented, I love it.

MollyNew Mon 05-Jan-26 18:44:23

There are some very talented potters this year so it should be a good watch for the next few weeks.

Luckygirl3 Mon 05-Jan-26 18:52:54

I enjoyed it ... I thought they were all good.

BlueBelle Mon 05-Jan-26 19:26:51

I thought the right person went home she was definitly the weakest

Sarnia Mon 19-Jan-26 10:05:07

That was a shock to see Mark go home but as his jug was the only one that could not be tested with water, the judges had no choice.
There isn't a single potter on here that I don't like. The potters, judges and presenter are all spot on. Game of Wool, please take note!!!

Sarnia Mon 09-Feb-26 09:25:38

My goodness, what a week! Tisanes and chimineas. I was pleased Elhan was awarded Potter of the Week and given the tough challenges and Emily's absence that nobody was sent home.

Marilla Mon 09-Feb-26 10:07:49

I really look forward to the Great Pottery Throw Down.
I think this series has been particularly interesting as it’s not so obvious who might be the overall winner.
It’s wonderful to see the individual skills of each potter and how they interpret each challenge.
The professional potters and the presenter are a delight.

BlueBelle Mon 09-Feb-26 10:22:49

I don’t know why but I m really not enjoying this last series and I ve watched it with great pleasure since it first started
I just can’t get into it this time Perhaps it’s me !
I m not even remembering the contestants names this time round, maybe it’s just too samey, I m not sure but I m a bit bored with it now, I love art I love pottery and I like the presenters ( not too keen on she who tries to be funny) but it’s not hitting the sides this time !
