We watched this ‘new’ version last night, and were decidedly underwhelmed.
Anyone else have thoughts on it?

I've actually watched all the Foyles

Only once? 😂

I think I could audition for Sam’s part and not need a script!

I was looking forward to the East Anglian landscape in Linley then discovered it’s filmed in Ireland which doesn’t work for me.

I wondered why I couldn’t spot any familiar places. ☹️

I never read the books, and although I loved the last series, I am enjoying the new series, and I agree, the second episode was much better than the first. There is little else to watch.

Same here! I have been wondering why I didn't recognise anywhere!

Iam64 absolutely agree with you about Elizabeth George's writing. Glad I'm not the only one irritated by it.

Thing is with knowing it is in Ireland, you can ‘t unknow it. Spoils things rather.

I didn't now it, not having been to Norfolk but having seen plenty of pictures and film of that area.

You're right, now I know I'll be scrutinising it carefully.
