New thread.

Environmental Health would have a field day at Roy's Rolls.
Any passer=by can pop behind the counter and start serving it seems. We had that awful Jodie recently and now Mal. Comes from upstairs, doesn't wash his hands and just starts handling customers food and nobody bats an eyelid.

BlueBelle Sat 07-Feb-26 08:12:38

🤣🤣🤣 it’s hilarious isn’t it
Poor Debbie back in hospital but tethered this time

Calendargirl Sat 07-Feb-26 08:25:33

I’m no expert on prison, thankfully, but surely someone with dementia would be given more leeway than just being jailed?

Yes, she was drunk driving and someone was killed (yes, I know not Debbie) but even so, an open prison maybe?

We read in the News about murderers absconding from open prisons whilst on day release, so poor Deb seems much less risk.

That Dev pic is hilarious!

Aveline Sat 07-Feb-26 09:52:48

How dare you!

Bukkie Sat 07-Feb-26 13:50:31

I need to rewatch the Corriedale episode because I am baffled why Debbie is being blamed solely for the crash. Hadn't the pile up happened before Carl and Debbie arrived on the scene?

Beechnut Sat 07-Feb-26 14:52:02

Fill me in when you’ve watched it please Bukkie. I’ve the same baffle as you. 🤨

Oh no, Debbie’s imprisonment has resulted in the ghastly Lou making an unwelcome return.

Let’s hope it’s just temporary.

Grannynannywanny Tue 10-Feb-26 18:55:45

It wouldn’t surprise me if they make Lou one of the many reformed characters in Corrie. Give her a couple more episodes and she’ll be best friends with Debbie.

It is amazing how characters in Corrie always get sent to the same prison?

Bukkie Tue 10-Feb-26 22:47:00

pinkprincess - It's the same as them all working on their own doorstep, getting a job without an interview, not needing childcare, being seen by a doctor not only on the same day but face to face (what a novelty that is), everyone having everyone else's mobile numbers and all being able to eat every meal out.

I do love it really, but:

Having a police officer or two turning up within minutes to arrest someone who’s looked sideways at them, getting an ambulance to attend within two minutes of any incident, being tried and convicted within a week, buying a house or business on a whim with none of the hassle of boring legalities, flying off on holiday or for good at 24 hours notice, organising a party for the next day without ever counting the cost, and everyone attends…

BlueBelle Wed 11-Feb-26 06:47:47

being tried and convicted within a week in a living room Maggiemaybe
I read a few weeks ago that a Corrie ‘legend’ was returning such a legend I not only can’t remember her name but I can’t even remember why she went to prison !!!

I think people often get sent to the local prison and then get transferred to somewhere else if appropriate. They used to anyway.

Thankyou Bukkie
It is the ideal place to live, like a different planet completely independent of anywhere else., and no money worries.

He went back to work there a little while ago BlueBelle.

He asked George for his job back, and George was pleased to have him.

Goodness another painful episode - Todd get out of there please - Sam no drugs please, poor lad.

I am thinking maybe Sam is going to drug either the paedo female teacher or her teenage lover. I think Sam is far too sensible to take drugs himself.

BlueBelle Wed 11-Feb-26 22:58:55

Did he Calandergirl? I must have missed that episode and
I ve not noticed him ‘working’ just mooching around looking for food. 🤣

Charleygirl5 Thu 12-Feb-26 05:17:30

I remember Todd asking for and getting his job back but I agree, I haven't seen him do a day's work since.

I wonder how much longer Theo is going to be around and who will suss him? I think it may be George.

Calendargirl Thu 12-Feb-26 06:46:24

Last night’s episode was another poor one.

Awful Theo guilt tripping Todd into sleeping with him.

And nearly as bad, Dev and Bernie making up. 😳

Plus Mal skulking about outside their house listening to their playful shrieks and canoodling.

Ugh!

BlueBelle Thu 12-Feb-26 06:50:32

It was dire last night wasn’t it Calandergirl and nasty Megan and ‘her little boys’ ugh, and Jodie coming on to David !!!

Aveline Thu 12-Feb-26 06:51:20

Meanwhile, what has happened to David's house? The extension into the garage seems to have gone. The entry was from the kitchen. There was an en suite too.
Theo has taken over Todd's bank account and made him cut up his cards so poor Todd only has what cash Theo doles out.

Doodledog Thu 12-Feb-26 07:48:10

David’s house was destroyed by fire and rebuilt. I don’t think the garage extension was done legally, so may not have been covered by insurance.

If Sam intends to drug others he’s not being very sensible! He could end up in Young Offenders like most of the other teens.

Why didn’t Todd pay for things with his phone, or ring the bank and get another card? I know financial abuse is real, but this is being portrayed very badly. I can easily go for weeks without using cash, but I still eat and buy things. Summer’s request for sponsorship money in cash is about the only realistic one I can remember.
