Interesting, how is intelligence measured?
If you don't have a University degree, does that mean you are not intelligent?

Are you serious?😬😲

AR is an unknown where intelligence is concerned but we know that MT was even if we didn’t agree with her politics.

Interesting comment Oreo. I see Thstcher as lots of things, including determined and in many ways a strong leader
I loathed her politics and what she (with help from Scargill) to our mining communities

I don’t see it as intelligent to sell off social housing and decimate industries

DrWatson, I do know someone working in the Crown Prosecution Service when it was led by Mr Starmer.
This person was perfectly happy with his leadership, as were their colleagues.

It all went very quiet indeed (some might say hushed up) but I am looking forward to the trial of the Ukrainian rent boys who set fire to property belonging to Keir Starmer. Very dodgy story. Mid April should be very interesting.

You seem to be sailing very close to the wind tonight Primrose53, surely you’re not implying you support the intentions of men who aimed to kill people through arson?

'In crisis', 'is toast', 'fallen off a cliff', 'on its knees', 'rabbit in the headlights' - as long as people talk like that nobody will say anything meaningful, so discussion will become impossible.

Those words are being drip-fed to us, the general public. By the media, on social media, ? by Reform's chatbots.

The crisis that I'm chronically worried about is climate change. But that is one "crisis" that this campaign to get everyone well-worried, never mentions.

You're right. But it's ok - most people know what the soundbites mean, so never mind that using cliches means that the users' words can be twisted because they never meant what they said in the first place. It's utterly depressing.

No I’m not and No I’m most definitely not supporting them.

What do you mean then?

I disagreed with that decision on selling council houses but it has nothing to do with her intelligence.
I disagree with many of Starmer’s policies too but know that he’s intelligent too.

I would say that’s twisting another posters words by inference.
There’s nothing to support that view in Primrose53 comments other than wanting to know more about the story.
Were they really rent boys, didn’t know that🤔 it did seem a curious case.

He won’t be there for longer than another year.

Interested to know why you think so and who you believe will replace him.
His approval rating has increased because of this ridiculous “war” (money making opportunity for Trump and get out of jail card for Netanyahu) and I think the longer it continues, the more people will appreciate KS for the level head he is.
(I’m a floating voter, no particular allegiance: I’m glad he’s our PM atm.)
What is it that makes you so sure?

Iam64 Tue 31-Mar-26 08:12:58

If there is a leadership challenge, on current thinking, I’d still vote KS

Maremia Tue 31-Mar-26 08:20:46

Yes, I am serious. It is now recognised that there are many forms of intelligence. And that there are various ways to attempt to calculate these.
Angela R does not have a university degree. That no longer means that she is not intelligent.

I'm with you on this.

Thank heaven he is our PM right now - just imagine if it were Johnson or Truss. It does not bear thinking about ...

And thank goodness for the good relationships that Starmer has developed with our European allies over the years, too.
