Sam Neill

So very sad RIP.

Oh no. I follow his instagram page and, as you’d expect he’s really charming and funny and lovely. It says it was sudden and that he was still cancer free. The last one I read was five weeks ago in which he was arguing with some cockatoos on his balcony. I loved pretty much everything he was in and just adored him as a person; I doubt if anyone anywhere has ever said a bad thing about him. A fine actor and a good man totally sums him up doesn’t it.

My friend once described him to me as ‘that actor who isn’t quite good looking’ and I immediately knew who she meant. I thought he was very sexy and when my daughter told me that he had died I said ‘now I will never get to meet him’. I am sad that he has gone and scared that he wasn’t much older than me.

I'm sad too. So many people in their 70s, gone. I console myself with:

"What dreams may come, when we have shuffled off this mortal coil...".

Bluebelle, he was in a lovely film called The Dish which is gentle and worth a look. He made acting look effortless.

I was so upset to hear this this morning, he was one of my favourite actors . RIP Sam and thank you for so many wonderful memories .

One of my absolute favourites and a most talented actor. A very sad day.

He was in The Piano, Hunt for Red October, he was in the TV series The Tudors he leaves behind a large body of work.

I love Australian and New Zealand films and he was in many of them. Hunt for the Wilderpeople is one of my favourites, and Rams. He was a great environmentalist, too.

Sad news indeed. I've been loving "The Twelve" crime/jury series. Such a handsome man too - a true silver fox.

Oh how very sad. I like his acting.

So many deaths of famous people recently - Ann Whittacombe, Bonnie Tyler, Dermot Murnaghan, Sam Neil, and the young girl from Antiques Road Show, R.I.P.

It's always a shock,because actors and actresses are forever captured as youthful on celluloid.

More deaths are publicised now because more people are considered newsworthy and because of the necessity of constant news to feed the 24 hour news output on T.V. and radio.
Lots of people "our age" approximately are " going" aren't they and its a bit unnerving because it spotlights our own sliding a little nearer to the cliff edge ?🤔
RIP Sam Neill. Jurassic Park is still one of my all time favourite films . Sam was great in Peaky Blinders as well.

How very sad. I loved Sam Neill, definitely up there among my favourite actors. I always imagined he would be a lovely person.

Yes, Reilly, Ace of Spies was when we first heard of him.

Whenever I hear the theme music from it, (‘Romance of the Gadfly) I can visualise him as a handsome young actor.

And he became a handsome older one.

My first encounter with Sam Neill was in The Sullivans. He was good looking even back then.

It seems his vast canon of work is negligible.
