Anyone up for a 'Traitors thread'?

Schnackie2 Mon 05-Oct-26 15:08:22

Actually, I saw her at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End in 2000, playing Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate. I found her to be a very good actress.

You don’t need to be impressed, but you must surely accept she is a celebrity in her own right, whose face is known all over the world?

Aveline Mon 05-Oct-26 13:25:03

So just famous for being photographed? Still not impressed.

Jerry Hall is only famous for her liaisons and marriages. Just a sleb.

She isn’t, she was one of the two top models in the world in the mid 1970s, she and Marie Helvin were on all the magazine covers and on the catwalk at all the biggest fashion shows. She was on the cover of one of Bryan Ferry’s albums, not sure if that’s how she met him, or if they just moved in the same circles.

Plus she has had some acting roles.

I have no television and don’t watch films so don’t know who most of the contestants are. It doesn’t make any difference to my enjoyment of the game but apparently most of them know each other, which may affect how they play.

How do you come to be watching Traitors then?

On iPad, iPlayer?

Well, he is more my cup of tea than Mick. So if he is on the look out for a clapped out granny, my hand is up.

kittylester 😁

You can have him as far as Jerry and I are concerned!

What, no wait, if Bryan Ferry is on offer, I need to be in the queue please grin

^You've lifted my brain fog and I can give you one more of Jerry's conquests, Bryan Ferry!^

Oh, I missed that one!

I knew there was a long buried reason for disliking her.

Jerry Hall was and will always be Jerry Hall regardless of whoever she was/is married to.

I think it makes it more interesting when they know each other - I prefer the celebrity version because lots of them do know each other, some very well and some maybe just as aquaintances or people they have worked with, but it adds another layer of interest.

Richard could point out that Joe’s question was naive. When there was only one answer. So couldn’t resist teasing. He probably would have said it were he faithful.

Exactly! That’s just how I saw it too. It was the best reply and he should keep it up throughout his time there to totally confuse the others.

She must have decided against Jerry Jagger 😁 and kept her maiden name.

I'm sure she'll be the one to be murdered by the traitors given the choice ...

JenniRen Sun 04-Oct-26 22:07:32

😂

Namsnanny Sun 04-Oct-26 22:05:26

Just realized that Jerry Hall could have been Jerry Ferry if not for Mick. I bet I'm not the first to notice that :-)

BTW, I actually think Hannah Fry's partner (sorry I've forgotten her name) should offer to leave so as to save Hannah from the risk of getting the chop. Seems the right thing to do.

It's Jerry Hall! One I do know.
She was married to Mick Jagger then to Rupert Murdoch and says she leads a much calmer life now.
That was until Traitors.

I don't think it would be fair for Hannah to go either.

Thanks JenniRen how could I forget? You've lifted my brain fog and I can give you one more of Jerry's conquests, Bryan Ferry! First time I was aware of her.

I'm currently watching the repeats on bbc 3, thats how much I'm into it.

Claudia W. can't be bettered for my taste. I thought Alan Cumming was pretty good in the US one, but she has the edge.

DamaskRose Sun 04-Oct-26 21:12:29

I don’t know half of the celebs. Yet. So far I like Hannah, Joe, Julie, Miranda and Ross best. Can’t stand the loud Irish woman. Has Richard shot himself in the foot or played a blinder?! Time will tell. Loving it!

JenniRen Sun 04-Oct-26 20:30:17

I love James Acaster. He is funny, quirky and obviously very bright despite his comedy persona

Perhaps he'll grow on me.

I wasn't that keen on Alan Carr but enjoyed watching him in Traitors and ended up really wanting him to win.

icanhandthemback Sun 04-Oct-26 19:57:08

I can't wait to see how it goes. I love James Acaster. He is funny, quirky and obviously very bright despite his comedy persona. I hope Hannah Fry stays, she is so lovely and I love her giggle. Poor old Julie, in the firing line because she is a genuinely nice person. I am looking forward to seeing Rob, Romesh and Charlie be a little more vocal and I think James Blunt is absolutely lovely. I have always liked his humour. Bella, Jerry and Seb don't float my boat and I absolutely cannot stand Joe.
The first Celebrity Traitors go my husband hooked on the programme so he is really hoping that this series is going to be as brilliant. For those who are watching this for the first time, do give it a few episodes before you throw in the towel. When it is such a large group it is not as exciting as when there are fewer members but those first few weeks give you context. You also find that you actually get to like celebrities who might have never warmed to before and the opposite happens too.
Despite Bluebell's rather unpleasant post which is rather unusual for her, it would be lovely if we could have a thread where we put history behind us and just direct our comments towards the Celebrities rather than each other.

What don't you understand?
If you watch it then surely it is self-explanatory?
