Anyone up for a 'Traitors thread'?

Oreo Sun 11-Oct-26 18:38:04

Aveline

It's not as good as last year's Celebrity Traitors.

That’s true so far I agree. This group seem more ill at ease with each other.

Oreo Sun 11-Oct-26 18:39:21

Bella is a good young actor but there was far too much gushing about her brilliance and genius, it was a bit silly.

BlueBelle Sun 11-Oct-26 20:00:45

Don’t you mean ‘it’s’ brilliance Oreo 🤣

Their brilliance, I think, Bluebelle.

Well, I'd never heard of her before and probably won't come across her again.

Bella's preferred pronouns is 'they'.
What is so difficult about referring to them as such!
By refusing to acknowledge this shows bigotry and ignorance.

Fallingstar Sun 11-Oct-26 20:26:36

I’d never heard of Bella either but then I don’t know a fair few of them. And celebs do gush, but I certainly won’t remember this young woman after the show has finished.

They'll be heartbroken that a few bigoted, pearl clutching older women, sorry I mean ladies, won't remember them, I'm sure.

Who? Bella and Sebastian?

He seems nice young man.

JenniRen Sun 11-Oct-26 20:34:27

Bella has said she doesn't mind which pronouns are used.
Well said, Bella.

MarieElla Sun 11-Oct-26 20:37:37

Maybe this programme is not for you...you sound like you are stuck in thr 50s.
Modern life is leaving you behind.
Best educate yourself and try and move with the times.
I feel sorry for bigots, I really do.

😂

Only repeating what Bella said

MarieElla Sun 11-Oct-26 20:52:00

I'm sure they give a fig about what someone like you thinks....
Thankfully the world has moved on and most people just shrug at the likes of you, and think ''ah, they can't help themselves....they know no better"
Most worthy people, that is.

Jaxjacky Sun 11-Oct-26 21:25:16

Oh dear,…well I think this Traitors is just fine and I don’t give a toss about who uses which pronouns.
I’d just like a thread that focused on the programmes strategy, interrelationships and entertainment, not grammar 🙄

MarieElla Sun 11-Oct-26 21:30:42

Jaxjacky
The argument is not about grammar at all, it's about gender identity and respect for people and their choice of pronouns.
Perhaps, now that certain posters have been enlightened and whether or not they agree, they can perhaps keep their bigoted, outdated views to themselves so we can get back to discussing the actual programme.

merlotgran Sun 11-Oct-26 21:34:54

I like a thread that doesn’t focus on virtue signalling.

MarieElla Sun 11-Oct-26 21:45:39

Why?

merlotgran Sun 11-Oct-26 21:55:01

MarieElla

Why?

If I answer that you’ll have to stay on your high horse and I think the poor thing could do with a rest.

Fallingstar Sun 11-Oct-26 21:56:43

MarieElla

Why?

I think you have issues that go beyond discussing a celeb game show. Perhaps you should start your own thread regarding this, but try to tone down your responses because people rarely do well in a debate when they just really want a fight.

MarieElla Sun 11-Oct-26 21:59:26

Well, then it's best you learn to respect people's choice of pronouns and then I can step down.....exhausting having to enlighten the ignorant!

MarieElla Sun 11-Oct-26 22:06:17

Fallingstar no need for my own thread and it's not a fight, as such. Some posters need to be called out. Their lack of respect (or perhaps ignorance) regarding gender identity is unacceptable on any thread.

Casdon Sun 11-Oct-26 23:37:33

You aren’t showing respect for other people yourself though MarieElla. You’ve blown your argument out of the water by your condescending attitude towards older women. You’re as out of touch as you are claiming they are.

As has already been pointed out, Bella Ramsey is on record saying she is comfortable with any pronouns …

Back to the show itself.

We know we only see a very edited version of what goes on when the contestants are at leisure in the castle so we aren’t party to all the conversations. However it was clear that the Faithfuls valued Bella’s insight and the Traitors saw them as a threat else they wouldn’t have been murdered. On we go.

P.S. I liked her performance in Catherine called Birdy. Fans of Andrew Scott may enjoy it too

It's widely reported that Bella is open to the use of any pronouns. "Call me as you see me" she's said.

I'm pretty certain, given what I've read about her, that she'd absolutely hate this misguided defence of her.
