The waiting is a bugger though isn't it?

It is, Aka and I think I've just made a biiiig mistake! I realised that although my cv says references available on request, I had planned to print off the one from my ex boss and take it today, but for some reason it wouldn't print. So I just phoned and spoke to James to say would he like me to email it He didn't sound too bothered, sort of ummed and ahhhed, then said yes, ok, but with not much enthusiasm.

I got the distinct feeling that they had already discounted me but didn't want to say that there was no point in sending the reference.

Oh buggeration.

Or, more likely, had decided you were the one and couldn't care less about references!

kitty I wish I shared that opinion! They still have one more person to see at 4pm today.

I actually feel physically sick.

I did apply for an office administrator position, received this reply:

( blank) has asked to me to write to you to confirm receipt of your application and to let you know that she will be choosing candidates for interview within the next couple of weeks. Interviews will take place the week commencing 3 March.

Haven't been contacted yet though.

I really do like the sound and "feel" of the one today, but I just feel that I won't get it. I really wanted that other one a while back, and didn't get that either.

But if you don't get it you were down to the last 3 out of 60!!!!! That in itself is brilliant but even if your CV was what got you the first interview you beat off another 5 at that point so whatever you are doing must be right. You deserve congratulations for what you have achieved so far and should be feeling really good about yourself. Bravo!

Nonnie thanks for that, I suppose I am pleased to have got this far, but things are going to get very difficult and complicated if I don't get the job.

I feel so nervous, I keep checking my inbox, my theory being that they will probably email if it's "no" and phone if it's "yes", not that I think it will be. Of course, it could be even worse, they might ring and I'll think that all's ok, and they then say the opposite.

Think positive, phoenix! After all, they haven't even finished the interviews yet...

I agree with what Nonnie said, but the waiting is horrible Phoenix.

Everything remains crossed until told otherwise. Please do not give up hope.

It may simply be that their protocol says that they will take up references after the interviews - lots of places do this.

Still no word from dartington, but they did say it might not be until tomorrow.
