Afternoon all,

Please keep a few things crossed for me tomorrow, around about 10.30 would be good!

Thank you! smile

Thanks JessM - that's good advice and I'll start chasing them. You're probably right and they've forgotten I exist. The last time I dealt with agencies was 22 years ago and it was quite easy to find a job. Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

durhamjen Mon 17-Feb-14 15:50:53

As a matter of interest, where do you all sit in an empty cinema?

JessM Mon 17-Feb-14 16:42:00

In some parts of the country it is still easy, but the methods of getting them have changed a lot. People still put ads in the paper back then!!

Ana Mon 17-Feb-14 16:44:19

I don't think I'd want to sit in an empty cinema at all! It would be creepy.

Stansgran Mon 17-Feb-14 16:48:53

Surely the middle of the cinema has the best view. At the front the film is in your face ,the noise is deafening and it makes you dizzy.

Good luck tomorrow from me too Phoenix sunshine

Charleygirl Mon 17-Feb-14 20:24:16

phoenix at least you have been there once before and met the 2 fellows.

Is an early night on the cards with the Sunday best laid out for tomorrow?

All the very best, I will be thinking of you at the appointed time. At least the interview is in the morning, are you going to work afterwards?

Anne58 Mon 17-Feb-14 22:22:18

Hello all!

I've only met one of them, last time it was Rob & James, this time it's James and Lucy.

Sort of worked out what I'm going to wear, but might change my mind, as it's what I wore for the interview where I really wanted the job but didn't get it. But of course, superstition had no place in the modern world!

No, Charleygirl , not going to work after, have a sad journey to make, Lily, at the vets, 4.15 sad It cannot be put off any longer. A good friend and neighbour will be going with me.

Please send positive thoughts at 10am, I know the pay is pretty bad on this job, but I had a good honest (ish) conversation with the owners at AP today, and would like t be able to leave sooner rather than later for their sakes.

Bit complicated, won't explain it all now, off to bed and will update as soon as I can.

Love to all,
xx

Thank you all, you are such a lovely, kind lot!

I'm focussing on the interview for the mo, have done battle (and lost) with my hair, I'm trying to grow it, and although it does grow fast there is no escaping the in-between stage. Now having a coffee and tackling the make up.

Hello again,

Just back, didn't take long?

Firstly some statistics, over 60 applicants, first round they saw 8, this round seeing 3 including me. I'm wondering if I was their second preference, as when I was phoned I was given the option of 10am or 4pm, which indicates that they had already phoned the favourite, therefore only 2 options left?

Told that this round was more of an informal chat for Lucy's benefit as the chosen candidate would be working with her and she was not available for the first round.

I think it went okish, a bit worried that they might have thought I was too "bouncy" as there was quite a lot of laughter blush

They will be making a decision (and contacting the applicants) either later today or tomorrow.

kittylester Tue 18-Feb-14 11:31:19

Phoenix still crossed! Laughter has to be a good thinggrin

Anne58 Tue 18-Feb-14 11:34:51

I've just got a horrible feeling that I'm not going to get it, and that would cause all sorts of problems. sad

Charleygirl Tue 18-Feb-14 11:35:17

I agree with kittylester, you do not want to come across as an old misery guts. The legs are crossed as I cannot cross fingers while typing.

Anne58 Tue 18-Feb-14 11:40:46

Yes, but there's the world of difference between an old misery guts and a demented flippertigibbet.
