Well there I was happily in the bathroom this morning brushing my teeth ( as per usual ) when glancing in the mirror decided to give them a real good cleaning. Looked up at mirror again to realise I'm using my husband's toothbrush !!!!! Yuk,and double yuk ! Never done that before. Hoping it's not the beginning of the memory / senses going. Anyone else done this ?

Once sprayed my hair with furniture polish. Note to self: don't leave polish on dressing table, or, put glasses on first!

Couldn't understand why the telephone would not go back in its stand after I had used it and got quite cross with it. Then I looked and realised I had been trying to put the TV remote in there instead. My son has put my name down for 'The Home' he tells me!

We lose our ability to problem solve. Think about it. Using his toothbrush seems too trivial to even consider.

Well I am always doing something daft so think it’s early signs of dementia. Ha ha

Last week I sprayed lavender scented air freshener on my hair instead of hair spray. I'm not sure if it held my hair in place but at least I smelled nice.

I often find myself trying to make a call on the TV remote or changing channels with the phone!

I didn't like the taste of my toothpaste and on closer inspection saw that I was using Germaloid for haemorrhoids in a very similar tube and cap. Not surprisingly it tasted horrible.

Just don't ever get toothpaste confused with Deep Heat.

Yes and the other thing I am always doing is looking for my glasses while I have them perched on my head. Just never learn.

I hope Angela you now know that you are perfectly normal and not suffering from any form of incipient senile dementia, or at least if you are, we all are too!

I have more than once made coffee without putting the ground coffee into the pot, and once actually put the unground beans in!

Love your humour, cheered me up thank you.

Very careful not to use wrong toothbrush, yuk and yet miss tongues and necking, barely remember those days.
Did put ralgex on knees once in the days of naked sleeping and woke to find poor dh in shower cooling his bits.
Colour my grey hair a mid blonde shade, noticed this morning my teeth are a matching shade! Brush twice a day, what happened there?

This morning I was emailing someone on my phone, and needed some information, which was on my phone - which I proceeded to search for throughout the house before finally realising it was in my handconfused

anitamp1 Wed 17-Jan-18 17:04:34

I doubt if I'm the only person who has sprayed their underarm with hair spray.

Magrithea Wed 17-Jan-18 19:22:35

Why is it yuk to use DH's toothbrush? You live with him, sleep with him, kiss him and (hopefully) have sex with him so what's wrong with using his toothbrush???

seacliff Wed 17-Jan-18 19:36:15

My children have never let me live down the apple crumble episode, and I was only in my 40s then!

I proudly dished up my home made crumble, the children took one mouthful and declared it awful. I was really miffed and told them off, insisted they eat it, until I sat down and started mine. I'd used salt instead of sugar!!! It was disgusting.

W11girl Wed 17-Jan-18 21:17:19

I keep spraying my armpits with hair spray...I just won’t learn!

SparklyGrandma Wed 17-Jan-18 23:11:47

Once the former DH sprayed his underarms and bits with Ralgex instead of anti perspirant, you could hear the scream a mile away.

My worse memory thing is getting up to put the heating thermostat down, sitting down again and having forgotten did I put it down so having to get up and check.

7 years ago I was able to work 12 hour days, including evening meetings until 10 pm 4 evenings every week.

Where did all the energy go?

WilmaKnickersfit Wed 17-Jan-18 23:21:30

Snort! Tears are rolling down my face grin

I was reading the news on the BBC website tonight and this photo was for one of the headlines. I was trying to work out why it showed the photo of a horse's head on straw. blush

My Mum is the daftie in our family, but I now say to her "I am my Mother's daughter" before telling her my latest. grin

Jalima1108 Wed 17-Jan-18 23:23:05
