Grandson not walking at 15 months

crimson I think rugby will be his game. His mum (my DD) is English but his dad is Welsh. They live in Wales and rugby seems the game to follow there. Now the rest of our family follow football and I have to admit I haven't a clue about the rules of rugby !

You spend the first couple of years persuading them to walk and talk and the next ten years telling them to sit down and be quiet

And don't they move fast almost as soon as they can stand upright!

And you spend ages getting them to talk and then they don't stop talking well that is till they reach the teenage years and then they just grunt at you !

I am tempted to ask why he hasn't started on astrophysics yet!

Be warned. I remember that absentdaughter started climbing – on furniture until I showed her how to do it on a climbing frame in the park – within a week or two of walking without holding on.

My son didn't walk until he was 3 - at 15 months he got up on those feet and ran everywhere !!

Annika. Pleased the worrying is over. I had much the same problem and mine didn't walk until he was over 2. It was worrying because his littler sister who was born 15 months later was walking before she was a year old. My mother put me straight though. She said there was nothing to worry about - "your boy is just bone idle"!!!!

Zenella You have to smile my non walking grandson has now learnt not only to walk but he has now perfected the art of climbing out of his cot , he is driving his poor mum up the wall !

Annika. Glad to hear about your now walking grandson. What else has he learnt to climb - not out of the window I hope!! Good luck when he starts talking.
