hellow. smile

When I make my camomile tea do you think I should squeeze the tea bag to get maximum goodness (well, sleep)? It looks very wishy washy when I make it totally as per the instructions on the packet.
Could I use 2 teabags?

You can't overdose on camomile - can you ? shock

Elegran Tue 26-Jul-11 12:22:01

Jangly - Is it "How can I spend my £106,000 a year salary?

glassortwo Tue 26-Jul-11 14:15:59

jangly could your name br music related?

absentgrana Tue 26-Jul-11 14:23:47

She probably is the queen and that post was double bluff (after all, we'd all recognise Her Royal photograph, wouldn't we?) We were speculating on another thread about whether the Duchess of Cornwall and HM the Q were gransnetters. OMG, jangly please tell me you're not Camilla Porker Bowels, as was.

jangly Tue 26-Jul-11 14:24:10

greenmosgiel - its 'matron' because Gransnet sometimes usually reminds me of On Flew over the Cuckoos Nest.

NOT that Geraldine is anything like that nurse!!

jangly Tue 26-Jul-11 14:24:35

One hmm

jangly Tue 26-Jul-11 14:25:43

absentgrana - don't spell my name like that!!!

jangly Tue 26-Jul-11 14:38:32

Elegran- yes. it is.

greenmossgiel Tue 26-Jul-11 14:42:46

Elegran - what did that relate to? jangly's at it with us. I've sussed her. I'm pretty sure she's Polly T! grin

Elegran Tue 26-Jul-11 14:48:09

Greenmossgiel I googled Polly Toynbee and one of the references was to her salary - £106, 000. If Jangly is Polly I think she should treat us all to a night out some time. We'd help her spend it! But if she is Camilla she could get us all an invitation to the next royal wedding.

greenmossgiel Tue 26-Jul-11 15:04:23

Elegran, I'm all for that! Just read on another thread that jangly's away to town to put a book into Oxfam - keep your eyes open, everyone! Can't imagine our Camilla nipping into Oxfam, unless it's for a new coat for Charlie (and he certainly needs one), so it'll be Polly that's going. Oh - here I am sitting inside and the sun is splitting the sky - must go outside again grin!

glassortwo Tue 26-Jul-11 15:16:32

Think jangly is having you all on grin

Elegran Tue 26-Jul-11 15:50:59

Glassortwo i am just waiting for the interest in Jangly to die down to start a rumour that I am the Queen of Sheba.

Gally Tue 26-Jul-11 17:10:23

Jangly - oops - Camilla - was probably popping into Oxfam for an outfit for Saturday. Greenmoss I'm certain she isn't PT - enjoy the sun - it's the same here doon the coast, so nipping out between washes - on the 11th now ...shock

greenmossgiel Tue 26-Jul-11 18:34:46

Braw drying weather, Gally! grin

jangly Tue 26-Jul-11 18:54:13

Ok, I said "yes. I'm Polly Toynbee". But didn't the next line referring to fact that I let my grandson believe I was the queen, sort of give away the fact that I was joking?

I didn't start this business about me being famous for goodness sake! Of course I'm not famous.

It all came about because I won't put my picture up online.

I simply don't want to.

jangly Tue 26-Jul-11 18:54:27

and I don't know how

Notsogrand Tue 26-Jul-11 18:59:14

I don't know how to do it either jangly. I've tried, and feel I right muppet that I can't do it. blush

Baggy Tue 26-Jul-11 19:04:55

Here's something you could try. Send, or rather, pretend you're going to send the photo you want to upload to GN to yourself by email (this presumes you have it on your computer already!). You don't actually send the email. When the email is ready to send, with the photo in it, you drag the photo onto your desktop. Leave it there while you log on to 'my gransnet'. Follow the instructions for adding a photo and when it tells you to choose a file, choose the photo file on your desktop (you should be able to see it). Click 'upload' or whatever the instruction is, and there, as they say, you go!

Gally Tue 26-Jul-11 19:24:17

Crumbs Baggy - that sounds awfully complicato. What's wrong with just following the destructions on Gransnet - even I can do it and I'm not much good with anything technical - or anything else for that matter grin. Jangly I'm really disappointed you aren't someone famous - I was beginning to be persuaded......hmm

glassortwo Tue 26-Jul-11 19:53:10

jangly dont put it on if you dont want to, but if you want to and cant we will try to help.

jangly Tue 26-Jul-11 19:55:17

I'm not going to put my photo online.

I don't understand why anyone would want to see it anyway.

Sorry to disappoint you Gally.

greenmossgiel Tue 26-Jul-11 20:23:10

I suppose we all put a 'face to a name' when we're on gransnet, jangly. My photo actually doesn't show much of my face - just the cuddle with my great-grandson! In my mind I picture you as a humorous and sensitive person with a ready smile. You're also very active. It doesn't matter if I'm wrong. I think we can only decide on how a person may look because of how we 'take their posts on board'. Human nature. smile

Baggy Tue 26-Jul-11 20:35:17

jangly, no pressure! Honestly. Don't do it if you don't want to. smile

greenmossgiel Tue 26-Jul-11 20:41:20

Of course no pressure! We'll never meet anyway - it's just good to use our imaginations as we chat and discuss. That's the main thing. smile

grannyactivist Wed 27-Jul-11 01:14:15

Oh dear jangly (that's an ambiguous opening statement isn't it?) I don't mind at all if you don't show us a photo; as you know, I have a very clear picture of you in my mind already. grin But I must take issue with you about your fame. (Macmillan dictionary) Famous definition: if someone or something is famous, a lot of people know their name or have heard about them.
So, on Gransnet at least you are in fact famous!
Oh, by the way - I thought about entering the competition to get my name in all the slots in the 'by' column and it was a very interesting experiment. I managed twenty (21 including this post, I suppose) genuine responses and now I'm giving up. wink
