If it was free, what personal servant would you have?

Following on from another thread which related that the Queen has a Piper to wake her up, what would you like to have to help you out?
I think I would have a chef, healthy meals prepared for me
( they would have to do the food shop as well and be able to hide anything fattening) then when I reached my ideal weight, a loyal dressmaker.
Actually a Chauffeur might be nice too. I don’t think that one servant will be enough!

Yes, I would like a personal chef to begin with..

MissAdventure
I have one. He loves cooking and shopping for food.
Even when he goes away for a jolly with the boys he makes sure that I'm well stocked up.

A housekeeper to take care of shopping, washing, ironing and cleaning.

Those are the things I hate doing the most.

MissAdventure Sun 18-Feb-18 17:03:31

How lovely, petra!
I would really enjoy having someone like that around.

Housekeeper - I hate housework!!!

Christinefrance Sun 18-Feb-18 17:06:35

Like petra I already have a chef so definitely a housekeeper for me. Lots of free time then to read and go for walks with my dogs ( and the chef)

Lucky ladies to already have a chef. I also might have a cleaner of lampshades.....ooh and a gardener, but not to do mowing because I enjoy mowing, wobbly lines and all!

kittylester Sun 18-Feb-18 17:22:55

A bed changer - turns up on alternate days, changes the bed, takes the 'dirty' stuff away, washes and irons it and comes back to start all over again.

I wouldn't have this every day as you'd need a day with non fresh linen to appreciate the new bedding.

And, of course, I wouldn't have to see the operation.

DanniRae Sun 18-Feb-18 17:24:56

A chef for me, please! They would have to prepare a menu for me to choose that days food because it's not only cooking that I dislike but thinking of things to eat.

Oopsadaisy12 Sun 18-Feb-18 17:25:31

Kittylester an excellent choice, I worked with a lady who got up every morning and changed her bed, I tried it for a couple of days, but it was exhausting.

MissAdventure Sun 18-Feb-18 17:27:15

I think a personal assistant (or 2!) might be better for me. Someone to cook, drive me around, and keep my home as pristine as I would like it.

Hairdresser.

After spending a lovely day out with 2 little energetic DGS and carting a load of paraphernalia
I think may be a personnel aromatherapy masseur would be quite nice after a nice soak in the bath is it too much to ask for a personal servent to draw ones bath ? shock . ?

I'd like a genie who I could summon to do whatever I wanted him to do and then get to disappear (temporarily) when I was finished with his services.

A housekeeper for me too please.I would never run out of essentials, and the place would be sparkly without any effort on my part.

Cherrytree59 Sun 18-Feb-18 17:43:00

What a wonderful world it would have been, if only humans hadn't evolved and instead were happily swinging from the trees.

When man finally self destructs, the natural world will hopefully recover and flourish

Definitely a housekeeper/PA ie someone to run all those irritating errands that are so hard to fit in during the week viz wait in for the gas engineer, take and collect dry cleaning, wait for parcels, organise the carpet cleaners and window cleaners, book GP appointments (ie be willing to be on the phone at 8am sharp??‍♀️) post parcels pick up shopping, wait in for dog walker? clean house and prepare evening meal ?bliss

Rosieroe Sun 18-Feb-18 17:46:50

A gardener - preferably Monty Don! ?

Anniebach Sun 18-Feb-18 17:50:50

A shopper, not for clothes

Jane10 Sun 18-Feb-18 17:51:43

Of course as some of you know I already have my (notional!)personal assistants Fabrice and Antoine. They're not much use really and they fight all the time about whose turn it is to fan madam (ie me) but they're decorative and fun to watch.

Kittye Sun 18-Feb-18 17:53:55

kittylester I'm with you..a bed changer..a lady of the linen( or gentleman) bed stripped, linen washed and ironed, bed remade. But it would have to be everyday. When I win the lottery! ?

MissAdventure Sun 18-Feb-18 17:55:47

I'd like someone to 'do' my feet. A pedicure, foot massage, paint my nails. Bliss!

live7 Sun 18-Feb-18 18:02:41

I don't mind shopping for food ...but someone to cook it please! A cleaner too. I would like people to come at my whim, not a pre arranged time - is that OK?! Yes, a gardener too might be nice, and a handyman...I could go on and on I think!

Oopsadaisy12 Sun 18-Feb-18 18:06:00

Well Cherrytree 59, not quite sure where that fits into our idea of a personal servant, but heyho, whatever floats your boat.
I think that so far the Genie in a bottle is the best idea.
I wish I had thought of that one.

Envious Sun 18-Feb-18 18:30:20

I’d want a masseuse and have a massage any time I wanted! smile
