The bed which was available yesterday and paperwork done, is not now available!!
Advised not to visit until I hear from them as he may be moved .
Left hand and right hand syndrome.
Only good thing, he doesnt know if I have been or not.

Panache I had to scroll back to take a look at the Kitchen's title. It really doesn't matter how the word is spelt. It's what it stands for that is important. flowers

Ann No wonder that you are experiencing vertigo. You have depleted your mental and physical resources. What you need is ample rest and all the support that those in charge of caring for the needs of your dear husband can muster.

soop Sun 14-Apr-19 12:22:06

Ann We posted at the same time. Better news. Time to recoup your energy levels. Try your very best to relax and enjoy Molly's company. xxx

soop Sun 14-Apr-19 12:31:07

granniequeenie You are a very popular lady, for sure. Pity that you can't make use of several extra pairs of hands. Use your charm. You never know, that refurbishment could happen in double quick time. wink

Welcome back, farview. It's true that Misadventure hasn't called in recently. We always trust that she will return.
Carrot cake is possibly my number one favourite cake. I bags first thick slice.

TOYA Thinking of you all. smile

soop Sun 14-Apr-19 12:35:07

Bradfordlass The photo of the gorgeous wee girl made me smile out loud...as Torben would say.

Panache Your very moving story tugged at my heart strings. The lovely lady remains in your heart. That's the best resting place of all. smile

Charleygirl5 Sun 14-Apr-19 12:39:45

Sorry soop but greedy guts has removed the entire cake! I do like it very much and homemade- yummy.

Ann I nagged soop to take rest and she actually did and benefited- maybe I should start on you? I promise to be gentle.

soop Sun 14-Apr-19 12:40:02

Doodle Repeat after me...I am NOT pregnant. If in doubt, have a quiet blether with Marydoll She is an expert on such delicate matters. grin

Synonymous Your husband is made of stern stuff. Well done (both of you). I wish you all the sunshine that lies in store.

soop Sun 14-Apr-19 12:42:06

Shame on you, Charleyg no wonder all that I could find was a trail of crumbs leading to your chair. I'm well-shocked.

soop Sun 14-Apr-19 12:47:26

1inamillion I bought one necklace from the car boot sale. It cost a handsome 20p. I may even photograph it for you all later.

By the by, atlong last the inflammation that has worried me just a little, is fading fast. Tomorrow I shall finish the latest course of seriously strong anti bio's. Have confirmation of appointment with consultant at Vale of Leven later in the week. Hopefully the test results will be available and we can plan the next course of treatment.

Charleygirl5 Sun 14-Apr-19 12:47:47

soop it was well worth it and will last for ages.

Thank you soop!!

Anniebach Sun 14-Apr-19 13:39:34

Thank you soop, I do look in to see how you all are , never have anything of interest to say, my life seems to be dominated by Fred.

GrannyGravy13 Sun 14-Apr-19 13:56:52

I met up with MissAdventure last week, she was well but busy, haven't seen her posting for a few days though.

Lovely to have you here Anniebach ?

TOYA ???

soop Sun 14-Apr-19 14:16:11

Away to take a wee nap as per what you lot have ordered in the nicest possible way.

Doodle Sun 14-Apr-19 14:16:51

Lovely to see you in the kitchen annie. Apart from the Lent thread I haven’t heard much of you recently. I am hoping your mention of Fred means that you have come to grips with him and are venturing outside a bit. Hope this is the case. ?

Doodle Sun 14-Apr-19 14:18:06

Not sure I’d take advice from marydoll soop. After all she did have a very large (numerous) phantom pregnancy ?.

Doodle Sun 14-Apr-19 14:19:31

synonymous and ann TOYA and hoping the days will get better.

NanaandGrampy Sun 14-Apr-19 14:24:11

Afternoon all ,
Flying visit as the roast is in the oven and the little boys are sticking and gluing ( mostly themselves) at the table .

I’ve lost the end of the old kitchen so apologies !!

Ann , so sorry to see things are still untenable . Hoping for some improvement soon.

Soop , glad your infection-is clearing up ! You must have been behaving !!

Back tomorrow !

Marydoll Sun 14-Apr-19 14:47:02

Doodle, that "pregnancy" was all Soop's fault!
She was the one who led me astray grin

Greyduster Sun 14-Apr-19 14:58:16

Hello the NEW kitchen!! I found myself wondering yesterday how many there have been since Soop opened the first one. Anyone know?

Well, we have only been home a day and I have come down with a horrible cold! I have lots of stuff to do and don’t feel like doing any of it. I suspect the change of environment between my Sister in law’s house and ours could have something to do with it; she has her heating on constantly during the day with all the rad thermostats turned up full and it is like a sauna, even at night when she turns the boiler off at the mains because no-one knows how to set the timer! She doesn’t seem to have a thermostat or if she does, she doesn’t know where it is! I dread to think what her gas bills are like. Our house is very cool by comparison, especially when, like this morning, DH leaves every door open as he is outside cleaning the car! So that’s my little winge for today.

Syn I am pleased to hear that your DH is making good progress. I hope they let him come home soon so that you can have some down time from travelling back and forth. Travelling can be debilitating when you have so much else in your mind and he will feel better still in his own home.

Soop the biggest mistake I ever made at a boot sale was passing up a brand new fly rod for twenty pounds that I didn’t think I could justify spending (because contrary to popular fishing opinion, and DH, you can actually have too many fly rods! Who knew!). I walked away from it, and when I changed my mind and went back, of course someone with more brains had snapped it up! Very glad to hear your wound is improving.

Ann added to all the other things clouding your horizon, vertigo is the last thing you need to deal with. Please take care. Good to hear that your DH is taking in some sustenance, and I hope that they get a place sorted out for him soon.

Callgirl I am another who daren’t look back while I am posting - I’ve lost a lot of posts that way, so now I type in documents and paste the result.

Corner I hope you are germ free (you didn’t send them here by any chance?) by Monday and find your mojo for the youngsters!

I am going over to DD’s shortly to put a meal in their fridge for when they get back from Paris. I made a chicken pie for GS and his dad, and thought I would make sure they knew that it was half each (it’s a large pie!) by putting their initials on in pastry. I was going to put the E and then R, but they might have thought it came from the royal kitchen! Well, it did, I suppose?!

Greyduster Sun 14-Apr-19 15:00:53

B****r, N&G! Missed you again!

Swanny Sun 14-Apr-19 15:11:06

It's taken me 2 hours to catch up with you lot's doings over the last 10 days, with it's mixture of happy and sad news - all I can add to what everyone has been saying is TOYA and send flowers flowers flowers and ((((hugs))))

My time has been taken up with DGS. During the week before school holidays started either he or his parents had various appointments and I was needed to either collect him from school and take him somewhere or look after him while one or both parents were elsewhere. I even had a sleepover at his house one night smile moon. I loved every minute of course but am grateful his other Grandma has now arrived to help next week.

We were waiting for fish and chips to be cooked for us on Friday and there were 3 men from a nearby building site sitting there eating their dinners, flavouring them with a few expletives. 'Oh' said DGS loudly 'they said swear words Grandma', whereupon the culprit turned and apologised to us. 'And I should think so too!' replied DGS. No-one else in the shop could keep a straight face ...

Swanny Sun 14-Apr-19 15:14:39

Whoops! Apostrophe where none was needed at the end of the first line. Sorry.
