I remember shopping in Bath many years ago with a friend; we looked in one small shop window and my friend said "this shop is full of Judi Dench clothes"!

I'd love it. It's typical of a couple of woollen long cardicoats that I have.
I think Dame Judi dresses beautifully, with grace. It's very much how I dress.

GabrillaG54 your post cuts the feet from below anyone who is overweight, like myself, and who tries to still dress as well as possible. It would have been sufficient that you commented on the style and not got sneeringly onto the fat shaming.

I don’t like Judy Dench’s ‘style’ at all, it doesn’t suit her ( you need to be tall and slim for it.)

As regards linen, I travelled 30 miles by car wearing a linen shirt recently and arrived looking like a large crumpled napkin.

Right Gabriella. I'm old and my body shape has changed yearly so I have enjoyed trying to disguise my dowager's hump and swollen ankles while not appearing dowdy. Not beaten yet!

I quite like clothes, perfume and a little jewelry sometimes.

A horse stamped on me, so one leg is an awful shape. I usually wear trousers.

ha ha Alexa, no it was up a mountain somewhere. Being the daredevil I was, I just carried on. Years later, it turns out I had a broken leg.

We once spent an evening with some people we didn’t know very well, friends of friends, when we left my husband asked why the woman in question kept this huge pashmina over her shoulder all night, draping over her stomach, because she’s fat of course, I replied, rather ungraciously, I’m hardly Twiggy! But it’s such a stupid look, fools no one (except possibly my husband)

Lovely shop Hampstead Bazaar. I bought my silk jacket and trousers for DD3’s wedding there.

I love Dame Judy,brilliant actress, and I adore her hair style,I would love my hair to be like that.I havent seen the photo everyone is mentioning, but in my eyes she cant go wrong.
