Another moan about husbands - sorry!

I do hope Grandad isn’t lurking to leap onto this thread but I really have to let off steam somehow. I’m in the vulnerable group and my husband is looking after me wonderfully but he’s driving me mad literally!

I made a shopping list and he’s been shopping but decided what he would get, not necessarily what I wanted! He’s now returned and obsessively taking everything out of their packets and rewrapping them in cling film! Biscuits! They’ll all go soft immediately! He insisted on going to Booths which is very expensive compared to Aldi and doesn’t have everything I wanted. I know, I know this is terrible of me moaning about it but he is driving me mad. Please tell me I’m not on my own and I won’t get told off?

I vacuumed and dusted upstairs today and cleaned the bathroom.
However, I had some trouble with the Dyson which was clogged up with fluff so I spent ages defluffing it. By then my shoulder was aching so DH volunteered to clean our bedroom.

I heard the vacuum going to and fro then he came downstairs with the anti-static duster thingy and I said 'thank you so much (why?). I presume you dusted too?'

'Oh no, was I supposed to'?

I'm not perfect either.
I couldn't find the three puzzle pieces he was searching for.

merlotgran thank you so much for that, I am going to send it to DD.

Davidhs she sounds like a woman with great foresight, hang on to her!

Callistemon Mon 30-Mar-20 18:03:04

Terribull
grin

Davidhs I like a man who knows which side his bread is buttered (or margarined depending on whether or not he got the shopping wrong again)
wink

Calli & Terri
You are both spot on!?

TerriBull Mon 30-Mar-20 18:58:21

I'm glad you recognise that David, but agreeing with wimmin' is contrary to rules and regulations set out by the Chartered Institute of The Regulation of Misandry and quite honestly, your stance suggests that you will be precluded from ever applying to such a body. Not that there's room for two Officers on this site. I hate to tell you this, but the present one has all avenues covered. Possibly he may have room for an apprentice but I wouldn't build up your hopes. Even though he works tirelessly in the haulage industry and keeps us up-to-date with his work and how Health and Safety plays a pivotal role in his day to day life. He is also able to give us exceedingly interesting glimpses into his domestic set up, bite size, but nevertheless tantalising snippets such as cleaning out the gutters, where Mrs Grandad plays a pivotal role in shaking the ladder in holding the ladder steady to ensure the health and safety of our very own Misandry Officer. He never goes for over load, always aware that he should give his followers a desire to read more and perhaps lead these stroppy women away from their shrewish behaviour and misandristic attitudes. My advice, shadow him for a while to get the feel of the role. His are big shoes to fill and Rome wasn't built in a day smile

I’m crying with laughter here TerriBull grin - you’re very wicked but you’ve absolutely nailed the Misandry Official grin

Curlywhirly Mon 30-Mar-20 19:19:02

TerriBull I know I shouldn't laugh, but ???? you really do have a way with words!

TerriBull Mon 30-Mar-20 19:19:49

SirChenjin, please don't cry, that's the job of the Misandry Officer. Nothing like a good ticking off, to reduce us wimmin' to tears is there?

SirChenjin Mon 30-Mar-20 19:22:33

He’s resurfaced and is back on the other thread - and not only that, he’s leaving it up to other forum members to judge me. I am devastated, as you might imagine.

Ladies, be afraid, be very afraid - him off the haulage trade and his Misandry Rulebook are on their way grin grin

Lisagran Mon 30-Mar-20 19:22:36

Superb Terribull - you have him down to a T grin

merlotgran Mon 30-Mar-20 19:27:48

TerriBull That's brilliant! grin

Callistemon Mon 30-Mar-20 19:30:16

and not only that, he’s leaving it up to other forum members to judge me.
SirChenjin You're indispensable!

Whether your real name is Google, Bing, Yahoo or whatever, we need you

GrannyLaine Mon 30-Mar-20 19:31:32

Luckylegs, he will, believe me , he will. As soon as he gets a whiff......... He will perceive it as his duty.
Terribull you have such a gift.

SirChenjin Mon 30-Mar-20 19:32:46

I’m staying put Callistemon grin

Callistemon Mon 30-Mar-20 19:45:34

tantalising snippets such as cleaning out the gutters, where Mrs Grandad plays a pivotal role in shaking the ladder in holding the ladder steady
Actually, I think that makes him a true gentleman.

When DH cleaned out the gutters recently, he got me to stand underneath with a bucket and threw down the wet mossy mud and bushes which had grown in there. Some landed in the bucket, some landed on my head.
My hair has not been the same since.

SirChenjin Mon 30-Mar-20 19:46:31

He seems quite settled on the other thread. Do you think he can be lured over here with a sausage and a tummy rub?

Callistemon Mon 30-Mar-20 19:47:37

Are you volunteering? shock

SirChenjin Mon 30-Mar-20 19:51:30

Sadly I don’t think he’d let me - I’m on the naughty step being judged by you all grin

Callistemon Mon 30-Mar-20 19:52:14

I was quite prepared to forgive you until you mentioned the sausage and a tummy rub

SirChenjin Mon 30-Mar-20 19:53:41

A step too far?

Davidhs Mon 30-Mar-20 20:13:20

You learn something every day didn’t realized a tummy rub was so appealing, nor would waving a floppy sausage about.

Harris27 Mon 30-Mar-20 20:21:00

Thanks merlogran just sent that notice to my sister as she’s on her own and glad at the moment!
