Good Morning Everyone,
Its a nice clear blue sky over Brackley this morning, and although its a Bank Holiday it does not feel like one.
Should be a quiet day in, some housework ,and the usual TV , tempted with a DVD having looked at Film choice on TV.
But having learned to take the situation in a more relaxed way , sooner than let the tension increase with the lockdown and effecting my mental health.
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning all from the sunny garden in the the Scottish Borders.
Watching the birds including seagulls.
I slept in and missed the bin collection but perhaps it's a bank holiday. I dont think we close for whitsun in Scotland.
It's very noisy again with roadworks so I think everyone is just using their own initiative.
However, like Gilly we are staying in.
Hoping everyone has a good day.

Good morning from the Shropshire borders where the sun is shining?

Nothing planned but I think it will be a garden day.

DH just informed me it is nine weeks since we have been inside a shop. The way I feel at the moment I want to keep online shopping after the lockdown is lifted.Going inside a shop is something I feel really anxious about.

It is DH’s birthday next Sunday. His presents were delivered, addressed to me and he blooming opened one of the parcels?

Have a good day everyone and gilly?

Good Morning to you all from Cambridgeshire.
A lovely, sunny day, (thank goodness that wind has dropped).

Our daughter is 40 today, hopefully have a video-chat later.
Yesterday was a day of ups & downs, at first we thought the birthday girl was going to drive to visit us, (got excited as we hadn't seen her since February half-term). Then, her car wouldn't start, ( they hadn't used it for 9 weeks).
So we then did an hours drive to drop off not only her gifts, but one of our DGD's Birthday gifts, (very late)!
So, in the end, we did see them all, albeit at a distance.

Norfolk, your meal looks fantastic.smile
BlueSapphire, good to 'see' you on here again.flowers

Take Care to all you caring folk

Good morning Mick and the GM team, nice to hear you are taking a relaxed approach to the current situation Mick.
Nfk, what a lovely looking meal, your celebration was obviously a great success.
Bluesapphire sounds like you have a positive day planned, well done.

I am not feeling so well and having increased my meds, I am a bit weary - so an easy day is planned. Must sort out the wretched phone, ready to be returned again...

I will make Singapore Noodles, with left over roast pork, for tonight’s supper ... quick and tasty.

Have a good day all ?

Good morning everyone from a very sunny day in Warminster.
I live in a large ground floor flat and have found a lovely sun spot outside my back door where our car is parked. Very concealed and not overlooked. So I may sit there on my garden chair later when the sun comes round.
Happy birthday to your daughter Gilly. Although DH and I follow all the lockdown rules I know of plenty who don't though. Very selfish I know but we just get on with our own lives. It could drive you mad otherwise.
Hope that everyone has a happy peaceful bank holiday.
My thoughts go to Blue Sapphireflowers and Gillybob with her on going problems.thanks.

Good Morning All x
A fabulous day after the gales which had lasted until teatime yesterday. In fact I'd got so used to the winds that when they'd stopped I thought I'd gone deaf !

Forgot it was a Bank Holiday today and was just about to query my electric bill as per usual it looks as though they've got the gas and electric usage mixed up. There's not a quarter that goes by that I'm not ringing them. I'm so glad I don't pay by DD or they'd be taking what they liked.
Anyway, I'll set to and read both meters in preparation for tomorrow.

I feel so sorry for those living without access to a garden in this weather, especially where there are children. I can't really blame some for getting out of their homes as I'd feel very claustrophobic without being able to get into the air. It's those people whose mental health will be impaired.

I won't be up to much today and not sure what's on the menu other than I've got fresh fruit to finish up. I wish I was good at doing pavlova's grin Aussie's make the best ones.

Urmston's like myself with the lipstick and perfume grin all dressed up and going nowhere. I don't feel dressed without it, plus it brightens you up even though nobody's around to see or smell----apart from the cats in my case.

I'm bogged down with paperwork again, on the table and arms of the chairs. I've never known so much of an accumulation, the energy bills, bank statements, personal injury statements and phone-bill statements. I certainly have to keep up to date with these things. I don't know about a shredder, a bonfire would be in order for what's here, it's like an office grin. I need sorting out as well !

I keep getting pangs of " misery " as my GGC twins will be 14 on the 5th of June and I won't see them. It's making me feel really upset, from seeing them since they weighed 4lb each with their woolly hats on screaming the place down.
Ah well, this can't last forever.

As many of you know, I've been following a crime which happened in 1985 and the " suspect " has been imprisoned for nearly 35 years. On the 1st of this month there'd been a hearing in court via video-link but it was adjourned until the 29th, which is Friday. Should be interesting as it's re. undisclosed evidence which could well undermine his conviction.
The series was at the beginning of the year " Murder at White House Farm. I've supported the man's innocence since day one.

I'm so interested in crime, it keeps the brain ticking over especially during these times.

Anyway, before it's the afternoon, I wish you all well, enjoy this lovely weather as best you can and stay safe. xx

But having learned to take the situation in a more relaxed way
Good Morning Mick; I was doing just that ,looking for some TV football and came across a video of Blackley Town v Kettering played 1/1/2020; desperate times call for desperate measures. smile
So I stopped by and learned that they are called "The Saints"; nothing to do with Southampton I suppose, ?
Ground capacity 3,500, seated 500; Reminds of Windsor and Eton FC at Stag Meadow! Not exactly EPL, but just as exciting! Btw, score was 1-1.
Keep kicking goals! grin
Good Health

Gilly you are definitely not the only ones sticking to the rules ?.My husband is shielding so as I depend on him I am too! He was in hospital when he got the letter, fortunately he was negative toThe Bug but had pneumonia and as he has COPD still not really fit. We haven’t left the house at all since mid March or seen any family apart from virtually, I feel uneasy about the time when we can actually ‘go out’ ,he is very nervous about contacting other people, even sociallydistancing. Already had two weddings cancelled for this year and it would be our Diamond wedding in August which is now a non event too. So anyone ,andIknow many are, shieldingLet’s feel we’ve been doing our bit, more than some in power....

Good morning from a sunny East Midlands.

Thank goodness the wind has finally gone but not after it has deluged the garden. Delphiniums broken off and also some broken lupins. Myself and my son managed to fasten up the rest of them, but the best are gone.

Another day of lock down when other people are just doing what the hell they like! I could scream.

Stay sane and safe if you can.

Feelingmyage55 Mon 25-May-20 13:12:47

Good morning from a sunny but still breezy north of Scotland. Oops my post got interrupted by the welcome arrival of my supermarket order. It is now washed, dried and put away. Some odd substitutions. Surely a substitution should at lest be edible? ?
Should I do some weeding or sit in the sun and read? Hmmmm.
Have the best day you can.

Sorry Mick! Expected you to pull me up confusing Brackley with Blackley! two quite different places. Must have been my Mancunian genes taking over! grin
