Good morning from a chilly, still dark E Kent. We’re promised a lovely if cold day.
Now recovered from my most recent attack of labyrinthitis. Fortunately, my wonky pills sort it out fairly quickly, but it leaves me feeling a bit “fragile” as my youngest used to say.
Nothing on, yet again today. Might make pumpkin soup for lunch. How exciting is that?
How is our own “Banksydoll” today? And did all go well yesterday, “annsixty”?
All the best to the fragile, sad, in pain today. Stay safe.

Morning Mick and all who follow from dry and cold north Wales where I’ve been awake for hours!

DH installed a WiFi socket in the sitting room yesterday, switching electricity off beforehand and then forgot to reset the clock.....I shall siesta this afternoon?

Will be a little creative this morning, painting some frames ? in teal, the colour of my new ? covers rather than buy new - what a cheapskate I am!

Have a lovely weekend, whatever you’re up to - I shall pop in later to read about your bizziness!

Good Morning everyone from the dark side of Severnside.
Welcome to the new good morningers and although I rarely mention the missing ones I do think about them.

Off to pick up my prescription first thing and then potter in the garden if it’s nice. I have a big old lump of ivy I cut round and lifted off a fence post to dump into the empty bin. It reminded me of a guards busby.

There’s not much I fancy watching on TV on a Saturday evening except Brokenwood Mysteries and I’ve seen most of them at least twice so I think I’ll make some cards.

Hope a good day is in store for you all and you stay safe ?

Good morning, Mick!

I envy those who are still ?-ing as I’ve been awake since silly o'clock! A cold (6 deg) but fine morning here in Torbay, which is good for folks who’ve worked all week.

So far, I’m not going stir crazy in quarantine. Luckily, my flat overlooks a park with mature trees and a constant flow of walkers, especially those with dogs! Inevitably, there are regulars, with my favourite being a collie who waits at the corner for vehicles turning into the road that runs alongside the park. He then races alongside the perimeter wall and he usually wins!!

Happy weekend to you all and I hope that, for those with worries, some relief is in sight.

grandMattie Sat 10-Oct-20 06:32:21

It was supposed to read - fraggle .....

annsixty Sat 10-Oct-20 06:45:10

Good morning all.
Thank you for all your good wishes yesterday.
They all worked.
I didn’t get my op until 7pm but it all went well and I was back in my bed in no time at all.
I slept quite well and will be getting out of bed after breakfast.
It has rained all night I think.

Bellasnana Sat 10-Oct-20 07:05:23

Good morning from Malta where it’s another sunny day. Storms are forecast for Monday so better make the most of this balmy weather while it lasts.

So glad to hear your op went well despite the long wait annsixty. They don’t hang about in getting you out of bed, do they! Hope all goes well and that you make a steady recovery.flowers

I have had a little weep this morning. Silly really as it’s just another day without my sister, but today is the fourth anniversary of her death and I just felt overwhelmed by sadness. She died on her eldest son’s 40th birthday so it’s a bittersweet day for him too.

I shall have to go to the pet shop this morning as my dog has got ear mites, poor fellow. I cleaned a lot of gunk out of both ears but need some ointment to clear it up for him.

The tennis yesterday had me on the edge of my seat but it will be harder tomorrow watching the final. It’s a good thing I watched alone as I’m afraid a few choice words passed my lips during the two semi-finals!?

Wishing you all the best Saturday possible.☀️

Morning Mick, ironing All from a dark, dry, chilly corner of Somerset. A huge morning hug for ann, how lovely to see you here. Delighted you finally got there, it must have seemed a long wait though. Two motorways for us this morning to meet with family, fingers crossed for dry weather and kind traffic. Thinking of all who aren’t posting for whatever reason, look after yourselves everyone.

cornergran Sat 10-Oct-20 07:09:22

Ironing - need my glasses, let’s try morning grin. No ironing here today!

Sark Sat 10-Oct-20 07:10:14

Good Morning everyone from Oxfordshire.
I haven't looked out yet so not sure what is happening outside.
Hi Susieflo and very glad to hear all went well Annsixty
Not much to say really, just a usual food shop and housework sort of Saturday.
Thinking of all on this friendly thread and flowers to all

Nannytopsy Sat 10-Oct-20 07:10:28

Good morning Mick and all who follow.
Ann I am delighted to see you so soon! Glad everything went well and enjoy your breakfast.
No milk in Topsy Towers, so the first task of the day is a quick trip to the garden centre/ farm shop before I can make coffee ?
We got on well with the path yesterday and the sky is clear this morning so no excuse not to finish today. We are off to Brancaster birdwatching on Sunday/Monday and would like to get this finished before we go. How smug will we be?
Love to all the missing posters.

cornergran Sat 10-Oct-20 07:10:56

Good morning from the East Midlands! It seems to be dry weather here today although I've not set foot outside yet to check properly. I have toothache so I won't be doing very much today as my Dentist isn't open until Monday. Have a good day everyone, stay safe out there and remember:
HANDS - FACE - SPACE! ?

MissChateline Sat 10-Oct-20 07:20:47

Good morning from a damp corner of Yorkshire. I shall have my morning stomp through the woods next to my house after breakfast. Always a delight whatever the weather.
Decorators dropped off the paint for my kitchen renovation yesterday and will start on Monday. It’s slowly coming together. Six weeks so far and another three weeks to go as long as the fitter actually returns from holiday in a weeks time.
Meeting a friend for lunch and a walk on the moors this afternoon. So all in all a pleasant day.

PollyDolly Sat 10-Oct-20 07:22:19

Can I just add, although I'm fairly new to GN I have found some threads "unpleasant" and "intimidating" But this one is lovely ?.

Ashcombe Sat 10-Oct-20 07:25:04

Me, too, PollyDolly! This is a most welcoming place to be. I’m glad you think so, too!

Sar53 Sat 10-Oct-20 07:29:12

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Essex by the sea. A little chilly as the heating has come on.
I'm so pleased all went well for you Annsixty, upwards and onwards ?.
We are going for a walk to one of our favourite places along the coast together with a flask of coffee and shortbread biscuits this morning. It will blow a few cobwebs away.
Have a pleasant Saturday everyone and stay safe xx

Goodbyetoallthat Sat 10-Oct-20 07:30:40

Good morning all from a cool grey lockdown Swansea.
A slow start to the day then off to take the dog (her majesty would be more apt ?) to one of the local beaches.
I am a bit of a lurker as often by the time I get a chance to post the morning has gone.
Glad to see that Ann has had her op & sorry to see so many familiar names missing. Take care.

Nortsat Sat 10-Oct-20 07:37:46

Good morning Mick and the GM team from a reasonably bright east London.

It’s my birthday today and I have woken up to several ecards and a couple of funny animated ones.
I have a ‘virtual’ celebration planned with the Lockdown gangsters on our thread. Then my partner and I have decided to go out for dinner. We thought it through and decided to do it, whilst being very careful.

Bellasnanna, sending you good thoughts as you remember your dear sister. My own lovely sister died in 2003 and on her birthday every year, we raise a glass in her memory. I try to focus on that date and celebrate, rather than the date she died (which was close to her birthday). ? for both of our sisters.

Thinking of Bluesapphire and gilly. Good morning to MawB (incase she’s reading) and our friend’s on the norty step. ? for those facing challenges today. Have a good day, all. ?

Scentia Sat 10-Oct-20 07:38:47

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. It should be dry at least one of the days this weekend so I will get in the garden then. Still waiting for my bulbs from SR and I keep getting ‘fobbed off’ when I call.
I need to drive a card over to a friend who has his birthday today, it is odd as we usually meet them every week and haven’t physically seen them since March as they are shielding and don’t want to see anyone.
I will have my DGS this afternoon until tomorrow afternoon to let my DD sleep, her DH is away and her pregnancy sickness seems to come on in the early hours, hence she is getting little sleep.
I will take the pooch for a walk when I take the card as they live in the countryside it makes it worth driving over there if I do a walk too.
Hope our absent friends are safe and well. Hurry back soon.

Nannytopsy Sat 10-Oct-20 07:39:56

Happy Birthday Nortsat! ??

Nortsat Sat 10-Oct-20 07:42:49

Welcome Pollydolly.
I am sorry to hear that you find some of the GN threads intimidating. That’s a shame.
I do avoid some, but very much enjoy those I post on.

Welcome Ashcombe

Lins1066 Sat 10-Oct-20 07:45:58

Good Morning Mick and all from a dry S Welsh coast.
Lovely to hear from you annsixty, so pleased you have had your op at long last ?
Bellasnana a sad day for you, sending you a gentle hug ?
Puppy class 3 for us this morning so better get a move on soon. We have been clearing my late inlaws house and have a lot of towels and sheets to give to the kennels there.
I made a beef casserole yesterday so we will have that for supper, it always tastes nicer the following day.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day.
