Good Morning Everyone,
Its bright and cloudy here in Brackley this morning, today I will do an early shop and get flowers for the cemetery ,and get the bus and replace the ones there.
Plus do other little bits , before returning home , and having a relaxing day.
Take care,
Mick

Good morning from South London.
Grey and wet here. Driving home this morning, well my friend is driving us. Hoping to find some northern sunshine in Yorkshire. Scientia your pictures look like they were taken in the sunshine! Fingers crossed!
Happy birthday Sar. Enjoy your lunch.
Have a good day everyone. Stay safe.

Good morning from a grey and damp NE.
First rain here for goodness knows how long, the pot plants Re loving it.
Family visited yesterday and it was lovely to see GDs, youngest went to music room without being prompted and played the piano for us.
Rest day for us, chance to catch up with the newspapers and some TV.
Happy Birthday Sar, have a pleasant day.

Good morning Mick and All.

Drizzly day here in Southbourne as we pack up to go home from a short holiday. It’s been a good experience being at our kind neighbour’s high tech seaview apartment, however I am looking forward to returning to our own home with the stable door which I can open and hear the birds and see the children going to school.

A very Happy Birthday Sar. Will you be dancing/celebrating in the moonlight on this Summer Solstice ???

Do hope Dollie is better soon Mary and you get the pain relief you need. ?

Alizarin Mon 21-Jun-21 07:49:08

Good morning from a deliciously wet south Cornwall, where my plants need the rain. The herbs outside my patio door smell lovely.

The pic is self-explanatory. What dopey looking birds they are! Today I'm on my first post-op bus journey, cabin fever setting in. Gosh Scentia, I thought I lived on a hill but it's a mere slope compared with that. Lovely photo. Happy birthday Sar.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from an overcast but dry Colchester. Cool and breezy today. Waiting to hear when the patio guy will return. The rain meant he couldn't finish when he should've so he's rejigging his jobs to fit us in. We also need the singing carpenter back as the recent dampness has caused the new bathroom door to stick.
Shopping and laundry today. I need to sort the freezer to as we've got lots of little bits that need eating....an imaginative menu this week starting with one brown and one white slice of toast for breakfast.

Love to all x

Good morning all from cool but as yet dry N Bucks.
Woke in a panic as Rosie had disappeared from my bedroom - she has decamped to the smaller spare that the little boys use when they come to stay and was looking very comfortable on one of the single beds! I fear my snoring may have disturbed her.
Off to London later for open air “ Romeo and Juliet” in Regent’s Park - IF the weather holds. Light rain showers or drizzle won’t stop the performance but they had to cancel both Thursday and Friday’s previews. ☹️ This production should have been last summer and this is so frustrating for the cast and production team. I know the weather is due to improve again and the run is until 17 July, so hopefully things should look up. If tonight is cancelled I will get a voucher for “another attempt” Meeting sister in law and D’s FIL for a meal before - so actually going “out out” !
Rosie is going into kennels overnight as I am staying in London - I feel like a mum taking her child to school on its first day!
Wishing anybody in pain or with worries a gentle day.

Good morning from overcast East Yorkshire. I’m back after spending a few days last week in North Wales. We had a lovely time and for the first time in ages I managed to do over the 10,000 steps every day. We had good weather and fabulous food despite which my jeans were still comfy on arrival home. Must have been the walking. I’m feeling a bit unsettled today though as we are home and back to normal.
So Dh back to work and me ..... well who knows!
Had a lovely lunch yesterday with DS and family. The TV was on in the pub and DGS was mesmerised by the Grand Prix! I got home in time to watch the end of the tennis at Queens.
Happy Birthday Sar enjoy your day. Mary I hope it’s good news for Dollie.
Wishing all a good day or the best it can be.

Gelisajams Mon 21-Jun-21 07:54:21

Good morning from a dry fairly bright Melton Mowbray and. Happy birthday to Sar.
I wasn’t sure about your tree Ash I didn’t think tree paeony but I think Grandmafrench has got it in one. We don’t have such delights up north!
Off home today, will get breakfast in the lovely farm shop cafe before we leave which should set us up till we get home.
Take care and stay safe everyone ?

Morning Mick, morning All from a grey, cloudy corner of Somerset. Looks like a repeat of yesterday’s drizzle is on the cards.

It was good to catch up with our daughter in law yesterday. The cake was also excellent, it seems not much chance of the weight loss I hoped to accomplish. The rest of the day was relaxed, family calls and a film for Mr C.

Happy birthday sar, lunch in your favourite pub sounds good. I’d struggle up that hill without a suitcase scentia, no chance with one Hope Dollie and family are OK marydoll, we never stop fretting about our families do we? Good luck with the dentist susan, all will be well I know it. Sympathise with the garden rain damage dragonfly, our peony is now bereft of flowers and the climbing rose has shed so many petals the grass is pink. The runner beans are happy though so a positive there

Hope Monday is kind to us all. Take care everyone.

Pittcity Mon 21-Jun-21 07:56:24

Happy Birthday Sar ?

Grandmafrench Mon 21-Jun-21 07:57:08

Best of Birthdays to you, Sar ???? (39 is a lot of candles!)

Unless you have a problem, Susan, won’t it be just a check up? Tell yourself you can do a check up, especially if DD is riding shotgun and you can get up to all sorts of Shrewsbury treats immediately you leave the surgery. ?To say I loathe the dentist would be putting it mildly, but I try to go ‘into another zone’ while I’m there and then …..run for the hills. I shall wish you well - you can do this. Definitely! ?

Good morning all from a windy, grey and chilly Suffolk coast.

Our weekend went well with DS1 and family here. Lovely to spend time with them.

Today will be spent getting the cottage in order for nephew and his wife coming to stay for a week from Saturday. We wont t be here so we’ll write them a list of where to find everything.

Sar have a lovely birthday. ?

Susan good luck at the dentist. I know your fear. ?

Grannafrench hope all goes well for DH’s appointment. ?

Yesterday , while beach combing with the family, we saw a seal pup and it’s mum. The sea was quite rough and it’s must have been tired, so came up on the beach. The Gd’s were so happy to see it.

Wishing you all a good day. ???

Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton; rain is forecast this afternoon so I am hoping to get the back grass cut before then.

The dishwasher is on and I have the towels in the washing machine. One of the cats has taken up residence on my lap so i am unable to move for a while. A quick run round with the Shark is needed later to pick up the cat fur.

Hoping to finish my book later on; that will make it four in two weeks!

Happy birthday Sar, hope the day is a good one.

baubles Mon 21-Jun-21 08:15:16

Good Muck, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it’s cool and damp.

Happy birthday to you Sar, enjoy your day.

Hope Dolly feels better soon Mary. There are so many Covid cases at my DGC’s school now, not too far from where you are. DD is getting quite concerned about their upcoming holiday.

Are those little knitted birds Alzarin? Coincidentally I came across patterns that looked exactly like them yesterday when I was searching for Rowan cotton DK.

I’ve a parcel to post so hopefully the post office which has been closed for ten days will be open again then off to the vet for the little pooch’s check up.

DH has hay fever so apparently he can’t wear the new hearing aid until it passes so we’ll be back to having frustrating, if sometimes comical, conversations after a couple of days of normality. Hey ho!

Wishing everyone a peaceful Monday.

Grandmafrench Mon 21-Jun-21 08:23:08

Oh those daft pigeons are the best, Ali. Love them - and I expect they’re clean too! Please don’t hurt yourself on the bus.
Safe journey home, Campajams ?

Good morning lovely people from an overcast chilly start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. We’ve had the bestest two days ever lots of hugs from 2 gorgeous wee boys and their mummy too. Fish suppers by the coast and cheesecake from the neighbours who had a party going on which I didn’t go to for obvious reasons, not following guidelines ie everyone hugging each other no thank you not just yet.

Moving on that’s been a wonderful long nights sleep all of 6 hrs before the alarm went off. The fashion today seems to be hiring inflatable pubs my other neighbour had one for their daughters hen party very impressive I must say, they are the size of a small house. It’s a rest day for me and dh have a nice birthday all you birthday boys and girls wine flowers

Alizarin Mon 21-Jun-21 08:27:35

Yes baubles, they are knitted, from a very clever pattern book. Here's a close-up.

Greyduster Mon 21-Jun-21 08:30:01

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where the sun is doing it’s best. There’s a chilly breeze though. I am in no hurry to get going this morning. We have some paperwork to sort out, some deadheading in the garden, and I have to go out and buy a birthday card and that’s about it.
Scentia we’ve been up and down that hill a few times, but lugging a suitcase?? Respect!
Sar Happy Birthday to you!??
Have the best day you can, folks.

Grandmajean Mon 21-Jun-21 08:35:26

Thoughts to all with a difficult day ahead.

I hope the dentist will be fine Susan, enjoy your lunch and browse around the shops.
I hope your Dollie is better soon Mary.
grandmaFrench hope all goes well for your DH's appointment.
A quiet day for us today after a lovely visit from one of ours yesterday.
Our DD has drawn tickets for the Ladies Final at Wimbledon, she is beyond excited.
We saw a tree peony like that at the NT garden we visited last week Ash it was majestic. We have a much smaller one in our garden, ours is dark red.
Have a pleasant day everyone.

Anniebach Mon 21-Jun-21 08:41:09

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

ginny Mon 21-Jun-21 08:43:45

Good morning all.
Late this morning as I had a very uncomfortable night. Back pain which has been niggling around for a few days. Still, must keep moving or I’ll seize up.
The tree in the photo was a cheerful sight on a dull morning. I can’t remember it’s name but it is a Japanese something.
House jobs today and some paperwork to catch up on.
Hope you all find a smile along the way.

Lins1066 Mon 21-Jun-21 08:45:06

I meant tulip tree grr.

Mapleleaf Mon 21-Jun-21 08:55:37

Good morning all.
It's a bit brighter than yesterday here in South Yorkshire, but still cloudy. Not been outdoors yet, so not sure of the temperature. Yes, mid summer already - it soon creeps round.
Happy birthday Sar ??
A pottering day today, with a few jobs to do in between.
Take care everyone.

EkwaNimitee Mon 21-Jun-21 08:58:05

Good morning, Mick and all from Carlisle where it has dawned dull and gloomy and threatening rain. It's also cool and my central heating decided it needed to come on. All because I put the garden furniture out yesterday no doubt!
I wish it would have a good heavy rain just for today, I went out in the garden and tried to dig a hole for a new rose tree and couldn't penetrate beyond the top 2 inches. I ended up giving the area a good water instead and may try again today.
It's a housework day today but it will be brightened by a delivery of wine, my supplies are alarmingly low at the moment.
That looks like a tulip tree, a liriodendron, to me as well, Ashcombe, they have those heart-shaped leaves I see in your photo.
Still wondering how our poorly missing posters are and wishing them well soon.
And a good day to all.
