Well, this kitchen is lovely, I love the cool decor and colourful rugs.
I think I should have typed www.westwoodlakes.co.uk as the other doesn`t seem to work.

Hellogirl1 Fri 17-Sep-21 22:33:05

Oops, that doesn`t work either, sorry.

Really good to see you back GrandmaFrench.

Nannytopsy Fri 17-Sep-21 23:33:33

GrandmaFrench and Panache! How lovely to see you both this evening!
Well this is a very luxurious version of the kitchen - love the colour and those comfy sofas looking out at Soop’s view. There are sausage rolls and cheese scones on the side, for the buffet.
A successful day at Topsy Towers - two new tyres, shopping at Seasalt (?), cornered the market in Ibuprofen and paracetamol ( always in short supply here in the sticks!) and then got out in the garden. We have plenty of ripe tomatoes if anyone could use some?
I hope you are all sleeping well and have a great weekend.

Glad you found the key Hellogirl1. I saw soop’s message in the old kitchen about leaving a buffet for us. Luckily the local Spar was open. Here’s a bottle of bubbly. Cheers every one.
Shhh! Grandmafrench’s asleep ? on one of the new chairs. We’d better sneak out quietly Nannagarra. Good to see you. I’ll stop longer tomorrow. I have DD news ?.

Good morning to all. The sun is rising here in Suffolk where we are staying. The sea and sunrise view from my window is beautiful and the sound of the sea relaxing. I wish I knew how to post a photo though it could not surpass Soops photos.
We have to pack up be out of this lovely old house by 9 am so best get a wriggle on. I will miss the view but a few days away has been a tonic.
I hope you all have a good weekend and keep safe and well.
Sending seaside greetings and sunshine.

Nannytopsy we too have had two new tyres and a glut of tomatoes! We have never had such a good crop!

We are off for our flujabs this morning and then will go into town where it’s the annual food festival.

Safe journey home silver lining.

Morning kitcheners. And a special good morning and welcome to gingster. I'll put down the banana and walnut bread over beside the bubbly. I'm off to Aldi in a while then up to dd's for afternoon tea later on. Have a good day all.

Jaxjacky Sat 18-Sep-21 08:14:25

Susan56 go to Forums, chat, then scroll down, it’s still there. Welcome Gingster I believe any sort of cake type food is most acceptable, as I’m a rubbish baker I do cheat and buy cake!
Catch-up later.

Morning All. Pleased to see new and old friends in the Kitchen. A bowl of raspberries to add to the breakfast menu. Dust removal on the agenda here today, cleaner is unwell with vertigo, feel for her. Take care everyone.

kittylester Sat 18-Sep-21 08:31:01

Happened to spot this lovely brand new kitchen so thought I'd pop in.

Been busy at Lester Lodge lately and I haven't had much time but I have been keeping an eye on you all.

Baggs Sat 18-Sep-21 08:32:00

Morning, All! Another kitchen refurbishment already! we grans don't half wear them out fast.

This morning looked 'promising' after a day of rain yesterday but it seems to be settling back to drizzle so maybe not much gardening activity today.

Yesterday I was mostly resting after shifting Minibaggs from a Scottish university to an English one – she did some of the driving. She's good company but has a lot of clobber! Next time she can hire a van and rope in some uni pals ?

Baggs Sat 18-Sep-21 08:41:05

Part of the removal exercise above involved me staying over one night with DD2 who is at the radiation therapy stage of an out of the blue breast cancer scare. She's had surgery and chemo and now her hair is growing back. Her head is very strokeable as the new hair is very soft and puppy-like.

She is doing well but it's a long process and she's never been ill before. She's also the first person in the family to be affected by breast cancer. Sarah Harding's recent death was a shock as DD is almost the same age. I keep thinking "it should have been me" but, well, here we are and it is what it is.

Susan56 Sat 18-Sep-21 08:46:19

Thank you Jax,found it!Thank you all for your kind comments on the last thread.

Susan56 Sat 18-Sep-21 08:48:24

Baggs, so sorry to hear your daughters diagnosis but good to hear she is doing well.Sending best wishes to her for a good recovery?

Grandmabatty Sat 18-Sep-21 08:52:27

Lots of lovely old friends and new popping in to the kitchen. Baggs best wishes for your daughter and her continued recovery.

dragonfly46 Sat 18-Sep-21 08:53:55

Baggs that is indeed hard especially in one so young. I totally get ‘it should have been me’. It is hard not to compare with others but each case of breast cancer is different and the chance of recovery is high.
The worst of the treatment is now over and I hope she recovers quickly.

Nannytopsy Sat 18-Sep-21 09:05:03

Good morning the kitchen! Tomatoes on sourdough toast for breakfast anyone? Sliced and cooked with a little butter and seasoning until they start to disintegrate - my favourite breakfast!
Nice to hear of Minibaggs - she used to be in the news a lot. Hope she enjoys the term.
Cleaning today. Someone has to!

baubles Sat 18-Sep-21 09:52:24

Happy new kitchen everyone.

Glad the flitting went well Baggs, holding you and your DD2 in my thoughts as always.

Now if only Marydoll would come back, she fits the description to a T.

NanaandGrampy Sat 18-Sep-21 09:55:45
