Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry here in brackley this morning.
I went to Bicester via Buckingham yesterday , saw some friends as well, Buckingham was quite as to the Flea Market very few stalls, and then caught the bus to Bicester , I decided not to have a coffee but do a shop and then get the bus home.
The air was chilly and with my condition not all helpful.
Take Care,
Mick

Grandmabatty what a shock your daughter being taken ill so acutely.I hope she is feeling better. Also glammagran, what a time you have had.Our family seems to have somebody unwell all the time too at the moment.I hope your daughter feels better very soon.

Happy birthday yogitree🥳

Gwen my grandson has severe allergies. He has been started on a desensitisation programme. He is only three so maybe it’s easierat his age?He starts with a grain of rice sized product which contains one of his allergens. He was really sick yesterday. My daughter doesn’t know if it was as a result of the tiny piece of food he had or whether he managed to find something he shouldn’t eat.

He is seen at the allergy clinic in their local hospital. It might be worth your daughter asking for a referral.

Good morning from Hull and it’s beautiful out today.
Late today as we had a lie in and we had a long video message with Son and his wife in China. They are excited and relieved from their baby scan yesterday.
Heading off to Bridlington today to see my uncle and get him some shopping. He’ll be pleased to see DH with me to discuss football and talk about Tottenham’s win yesterday his favourite team. Looking forward to fish and chips before we come home.

Wishing yogitree a happy birthday I love the picture. 🎉

Grandmadinosaur enjoy the strictly performance and spending time with your DIL.

I see there are a lot of family worries on here health wise but also fabulous family and friends gatherings. I could name you all in person. You are all in my thoughts. 💐💐💐

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. I’m still coming out of a recovery position after girls’ night out in the city on Friday. Drinks and dancing the night away. Excellent tonic, but cancelled today’s day trip to the Yorkshire Dales as back playing up.
Tried magnetic eyelashes and they are fab! The black eyeliner is magnetic and the lashes have magnets on them, no glue.

Flying DD sent me photos of the new uniform for her airline, better than I expected and she’s slim which helps, but no hat!
Can’t believe it. A hat finishes off a uniform.
Happy birthday Yogitree and thoughts to all with worries.

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton, 7° outside at the moment. Up late this morning, very unusual for me! No real plans for the day, will catch up on the papers, watch tv, maybe put some washing in the machine.

Took the cats to the vet yesterday for their annual check-up and booster jabs; pleased to say they were well behaved except for a bit of wriggling having their jabs.

Well, what a surprise with the rugby yesterday! Thinking that we stood a very slim chance of winning against our closest rivals, we actually beat Leicester away, 18-19. One point made all the difference in a tough game. I recorded the match, and replayed all the best bits! A nail-biting finish, but we held on, and the Saints go marching on.

Haven't read any postings yet, looking forward to doing that. Wishing all a pleasant Sunday.

Happy birthday to Yogitree. Have a lovely day.

glammagran Sun 29-Jan-23 11:03:58

Happy Birthday Yogitree.

Thanks mumofmadboys for your comment a couple of days ago. I can top that temperature though - I reached 41° when I had glandular fever aged 27, the most ill I’ve felt in my life. I was hallucinating, had lumps in my armpits, neck and groins
and viral hepatitis too. Took me 6 months to recover.

Taichinan Sun 29-Jan-23 10:56:02

Happy Birthday Yogitree. Love the photo! Ouch to the shoulder though - glad it's improving.

Taichinan Sun 29-Jan-23 10:53:15

Kalu are you a Libran by any chance, with your love of symmetry? Ditto here.

Kalu Sun 29-Jan-23 10:41:58

Happy Birthday yogitree🎂. Love the outfit.
You are in good company as I am slowly recovering from a fractured hip and knee. Ouch!

Blossoming Sun 29-Jan-23 10:34:19

Happy birthday Yogitree, ouch re the shoulder! Have a wonderful birthday flowers

Blossoming Sun 29-Jan-23 10:32:35

Good morning everyone. It’s damp, grey and misty in this corner of Lancashire. I was tired yesterday after my eye exam. I had an appointment at the hairdresser so my hair is swishy and beautiful this morning grin. My hairdresser is a lovely woman, the new premises are really nice and more easily accessible than the old place. Having my hair done is one of my small pleasures.

Today will be bacon rolls for brunch as usual on a Sunday and the new microwave is due to be delivered. No idea what time, they will ping me when it’s out for delivery.

Have a peaceful Sunday all 🦩🦩🦩

yogitree Sun 29-Jan-23 10:30:35

Good morning from Central Scotland where we are expecting a blustery, wet day. It's my 68th Birthday and I am celebrating with a broken shoulder that, after 5 weeks, is improving in mobility and pain. For lunch, it's steak, eggs and sweet potato chips, yay! Here's a mock-up of Viking me for a laugh!

Taichinan Sun 29-Jan-23 10:29:22

Enjoy your show grandmadinosaur - I have Strictly envy!

Anniebach Sun 29-Jan-23 10:20:08

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Kalu Sun 29-Jan-23 10:14:19

Good morning from Glasgow and what a change from yesterday’s sunshine, today, grey, dreich and windy.

I too spent a lot of time tidying up the garden WW but at a much lower pace with a coffee break until I am good to go again. The mind is willing and all that…
A crafting day for me with a promise from DH to hang the two mirrors we haven’t got around to doing. I have a love of symmetry and where possible, a pair of objects are required to give a sense of balance. No idea if this is normal behaviour but it is a must for me.🤣

It’s lovely to read of more happier times for those who are meeting up with friends/family and recovering from illness.

Best wishes to all for a good day.

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 29-Jan-23 10:10:24

Good Morning all from dry but chilly Harrogate.
It's a pity you didn't inflate the house price to start with then you wouldn't have a problem accepting silly offers! GrandMattie I know it doesn't work like that. Grammagran hope your daughter is better soon, and your daughter Grandmabatty. We still worry about our children however old they are, don't we.
I had a lousy night last night so not going to church (will attend on-line)! This pm off to DDs for lunch - her lunches start around 2.30pm and carry on til 5pm! It was her I was worrying about last night, she has an allergy to corn and I was wondering if she could be desensitised from it. It is difficult to avoid. Think the is why she likes to cook everything herself.
Have the best day possible folks

Taichinan Sun 29-Jan-23 10:06:49

Good morning all from a very non-descript morning on the Angus coast. Heavy rain and gale force winds are forecast for later though! I had a good night's sleep, but it started late and finished late so I have only read Mick's news so far. I hope you're none the worse for your travels yesterday.
I had a lovely surprise yesterday in the form of a quick visit from Dancing GD and her friend. As I live some distance from all my family, on the road to nowhere, that is a first for me! I bless the day she passed her driving test! They had come up for a walk at a favourite beach near here so decided to come the rest of the way to see me. Just lovely.
Today I have our tai chi Chinese New Year Banquet this evening. It was something we did every year without fail before covid so it will be lovely to get back to it.
Other than that, nothing really. I hope you all enjoy your Sundays and the weather is kind to you x

ginny Sun 29-Jan-23 09:45:08

Good morning .
Lazy start today, still reading the pay and not yet dressed.
Will prepare food for dinner and a quick tidy. I intend to spend the rest of the day sketching and painting.
Wishing you all the best day possible.

hulahoop Sun 29-Jan-23 09:39:29

Good morning from West York's, smell of chilli woke me ,we didn't bother making it yesterday so oh up early so he got it ready and put washing out , a run out after lunch and a small walk is in the cards. Gm hope you Get some better offers .Have a good day all .

SunshineSally Sun 29-Jan-23 09:31:45

Good morning everyone from an overcast south Hants.
grandMattie that is a very cheeky offer indeed. Maybe they were testing the waters and they’ll come back with a more realistic offer. I’d definitely keep it on the market longer. It’s stressful but try not to let it get you down 💐
Feels odd not seeing my car on the driveway - hopefully I’ll hear this week whether the garage has sorted the issue out 🤞.
Today we’re meeting good friends for lunch out - need to take DDog out first though! Other than that a quiet Sunday … though I need to decide what pudding to make as we’ve been invited to a neighbour’s house for dinner this week and I’ve been charged with making the dessert. Hmmm need to dig out some cookery books 📚
Have the best day you can. Thinking of those that are poorly or feeling low 🦩🦩
🤗 and 🌻 for you all x

luluaugust Sun 29-Jan-23 09:28:49

Good morning from a brightening W Kent. A chat to my brother and cooking Sunday lunch is about it for today.
gM just tell the EA this couple are a great big NO and tell them to keep prospective buyers coming round, the more the merrier. I also plodded round M&S Ekwa and thought well at least it isn't all beige, didn't buy though.
Best wishes to all.

Jaxjacky Sun 29-Jan-23 09:27:15

Morning all from as grey S Hampshire, seems to be the same weather everywhere.
I think that offer is taking the proverbial gMattie, it is a game, with no real rules other than keeping your head.
MrJ is down in the dumps, it’s the first time he’s been incapacitated in the 24 years I’ve known him, these things pass.
Enjoy your Sunday all, lunches, family get together and strolls. Hoping those poorly improve rapidly 🦩🦩

Ziplok Sun 29-Jan-23 09:15:40

Good morning all,

rather grey here but still dry so far.

Sorry to read about the cheeky offer GM. 50k below the asking price seems ridiculous.

Glad your DD is beginning to feel a little better glammagran, but it sounds as if it’s going to take a while before she is ready to return to work. She mustn’t try to rush back too soon.

Enjoy your lunch greyduster.

No plans today, just a take it as it comes day.

NannyJan53 Sun 29-Jan-23 09:12:43

Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country.

We recorded and the watched last night the film Thelma & Louise, as I had never seen it before.

Gym this morning, then lunch. Then pack a small bag as we are staying in Birmingham overnight, as we are seeing Florence and the Machine at Resorts World.

Wishing a full recovery for you DD Grandmabatty such a worry.

That offer is taking the proverbial grandMattie. Everyone expects an offer below the asking price, but that is ridiculous.

Thoughts with everyone struggling with ill-health and worries.
