Just that it is so hot here, it’s cruel and if a weather person says it’s great weather I’m going to punch them right on the nose!

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 17:30:38

Then, when they get up, I'll knock em down again!!
I loathe this weather.

LullyDully Tue 11-Aug-20 17:34:02

Too hot for me.

Oopsadaisy3 Tue 11-Aug-20 17:38:23

But what’s the alternative? Either boiling hot or cold and wet, no inbetween , I’m indoors in the cool, but it’s better than being cold.

If we were abroad on holiday I’m sure we would be wanting our friends back home to be jealous of our warm weather.

But hey ho, I’m always cold , so this is just right, (as long as I’m indoors)

I cannot get in with this heat. When I am in the office the aircon makes it very cold and when I step outside its unbearable.

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 17:43:48

I would take the cold if it was the only other alternative, but I like spring and autumn weather.

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 17:45:40

I think there was a thread like this last year, and people got really disproportionately angry at us who dislike the heat.

glammanana Tue 11-Aug-20 17:54:52

I love it the sun makes you feel healthier and brighter I'd far rather have a hot sunny day than rain and wind/snow anytime.

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 17:55:26

It damages your skin, though.

CanadianGran Tue 11-Aug-20 17:57:49

I would take a day or two of it! Nothing but cool and damp here on north-west coast of British Columbia. Since the beginning of June....

glammanana Tue 11-Aug-20 17:58:25

PS Just think how much money you save from not having the heating or tumble dryer costing you a fortune

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 17:59:28

I don't have a tumble dryer. smile

glammanana Tue 11-Aug-20 17:59:39

Miss Adventure Not if you stay in the shade you still get the goodness from the sun.

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 18:01:11

It's too hot, even in the shade.
It topped 38 degrees yesterday and there wasn't a breathe of air.

Too much for me.

glammanana Tue 11-Aug-20 18:01:42

Miss Adventure you can dry you items in the sunny weather outside on the line then indoors on your maiden next to the central heating "all sorted". grin

BBbevan Tue 11-Aug-20 18:02:33

It is quite pleasant in Wales Sitting out weather. Threats of thunderstorms though. Horrendous ones yesterday.

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 18:02:47

That's my take on it, too, glamma.

Juliet27 Tue 11-Aug-20 18:03:18

Fans on all day will increase electricity costs

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 18:10:24

Good point!

GrannyGravy13 Tue 11-Aug-20 18:14:54

Love the summer, just do everything slower, drink lots of water and soak up the Vit D ???

There is no such thing as bad weather just inappropriate clothing .

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 18:16:40

I think I have inappropriate skin. smile

Auntieflo Tue 11-Aug-20 18:18:24

The only good thing, is that we are using our own generated electricity, from the solar panels, with all the fans that are going here.

MissAdventure Tue 11-Aug-20 18:19:11

Oh, that's excellent!

MiniMoon Tue 11-Aug-20 18:19:20

Come to Northumberland.
The warmest it has been where I live is 26°c. Today the temperature hasn't risen above 21°c. We have had a little sunshine, but it's mostly been cloudy with the odd shower.

MiniMoon Tue 11-Aug-20 18:21:17

I meant to add that it's been quite windy too.
We had a thunderstorm during the night.
